  1. I "might" use a combination of Great White and Waterless Wash because they're not too bulky. Not sure yet.
  2. See what you guys did?!?! I've spent the last hour hunting for an embroidered Adam's logo patch to put on the custom, microfiber detailing apron I'm going to make this weekend.
  3. Hmmmm... I'm a woman... with a sewing machine and a ton of Adam's microfiber. You guys are giving me ideas! BTW, I'm not offended in the least, however, if you ask a man or woman to sew something for you, be prepared to offer something in return!
  4. I saw someone post some awesome illustrations of their car (on Facebook) over the New Year holiday, and found out that the graphic artist will do them for a super reasonable fee... so of course I had to get one (actually more than one) of my 1965 Rangoon-Red Babied-with-Adams-products Mustang. He finished and sent them today. I'm posting the original pic he used to and lo-resolution versions of the final images because they show his Facebook profile (hope that's not a no-no here), so you can see his other work, and maybe get him to do one for you!
  5. Ah, thanks,. Yes... it does separate after a short period of time. . I wondered because the one on the website is very purple in color, this is more of a muted red.
  6. I received a bottle of Pumpkin Spice H2O G&G (see pic) in a recent mystery box. Does anyone know if it's the new or the old formula?
  7. Don't disassemble your instrument cluster to repair the heater controls, then reassemble with your Adams flashlight still inside.
  8. Thanks, I thought as much... but also thought it was worth asking. Good luck!
  9. I'd go for one of the wheel woolies with the red shaft, black grip. How much to ship to 93901?
  10. It beats the heck out of spending almost as much time rinsing pads by hand as it takes to polish the car! BTW... I've instructions for a DIY version of the pad washer if you're interested. The materials include a standard 5-gallon bucket, 3 sizes of PVC pipe, PVC connectors and compression springs found at any hardware store. I'd recommend buying the splash guard from the Grit Guard replacement parts web page. Making that part looked like more trouble than it's worth.
  11. What stuff is that? Are you referring to the Pad Renewing Solution on the website? I kind of thought APC would be the same (or better). It's a hand-me-down Grit Guard Pad Washer... so I didn't get anything that might have come with it when it was new.
  12. I just got a Grit Guard Pad Washer and wonder if I should add a little Eco All Purpose Cleaner to the bucket water. I'll certainly spray APC undiluted directly on to the pad... just wonder if it I should add a little in the bucket water as well... and if so... How much?
  13. I know I'm not the first to do this, but it was a first for me... so I thought I'd share. The far left heater control knob in my 1965 Mustang felt completely unattached to the cable that opens and closes the hinged heater box door. It's a simple, effective design requiring no electricity and I was pretty sure it would be an easy one-hour project. The thing is, getting to the heater control arm and cable is nearly impossible without removing the rally pac from the steering column and the instrument cluster from the dash. So, to verify my suspicions I inserted a endoscope that sends a wireless live feed to my cell phone. It didn't take long to discover that the 53 year-old cable had snapped. In fact the bent end piece was still threaded through the attachment hole on the control arm. Luckily I had planned on replacing the cables at some point and had a brand new set still in the package ready to go. I spent the next hour removing the rally pac, and disconnecting the speedo cable and light bulb sockets from the back of the instrument cluster, just so I could get to the damaged cable and control arm. My garage has no power so I stuck an Adams Polishes magnetic LED light to the upper side of the interior dash to illuminate the tight, dark space. It was perfect for the task. After another hour of squeezing my hands through crazy small spaces... the new cable was firmly in place and working, so I carefully put everything back together, and was actually pretty pleased that I didn't goof anything up in the process. Then I started putting away the tools, protective rags and miscellaneous pieces and parts. Like others here I'm a bit OCD when it comes to how I store everything in the house and garage. As I was putting everything back in to their designated spaces my eyes went to the now empty spot the Adams flashlight typically lives. It wasn't there, and for the life of me I couldn't remember setting it down anywhere. That's when it hit me that I may have forgotten to pull it down before closing everything back up. So, once again I enlisted the endoscope and phone app... poked it under the dash... and low and behold... there was the Adam's logo looking all bright and crisp! There was no way I was going to disassemble the instrument cluster again so I just sat there... completely frustrated. Then I remembered the time I replaced the defroster ducts, and that there was probably enough space to fit a finger or two if I pulled up the duct end pieces. If that was possible, I was fairly certain the flashlight would be within reach. So off came the defrost/speaker grill and 30 minutes later the flashlight was no longer buried in the dash, it was back on the wall where it belongs. FYI... my husband laughed out loud for a full five minutes... so to make myself feel better... I logged on to the Adam's website and ordered a Mystery Bucket.
  14. Not saying that my 2-year old product isn't awesome... just wondering how old the Product Detail description is.
  15. Is there a label difference between the old and the New Brilliant Glaze? My last bottle is about 2 years old. The Product Details on the shopping site references the New... but there isn't a date on the post... so I've no idea if mine is the old version or the new.
  16. Okay, so it's not the whole car, and not as crisp as some of the other pics... and certainly not exactly a "back road" shot... but... Laguna Seca Raceway is back in the hills of Monterey, California... and the Adam's shine coming off the hood of my car was blinding bright... so here she is! Taken at my favorite car show of the year, which was held during the Pirelli World Challenge last weekend. They let car show participants drive a couple of laps around the track in between races.
  17. Excellent! Thanks for following up! See you there!
  18. Any idea which hotel we'll find the Adam's booth at Hot August Nights?
  19. Hoping to see an Adam's booth at Hot August Nights in Reno again this year...
  20. I do the same thing as Ed. I've one cheapie microfiber towel... that I ONLY use around the house... It seems to be a lint magnet! I pre-soak severely soiled cloths in APC, use a non-scented "clear" liquid laundry soap, a few ounces of Adams Microfiber Revitalizer, and dry on a medium setting (with no fabric softener dryer sheets). Not sure if it matters but I've also got a water softener in my place. Most of the Adams towels come out like brand new. The cheap Chinese towels... Not so much, but that may be because I use them on really dirty jobs.
  21. I'm with you Marty! Stainless steel is a real pain to keep looking good. Gonna try Detail Spray and Brilliant Glaze on mine, but not hoping for much. I miss my white fridge!
