  1. You have a little sheen going, Scott. Did you use some DS?
  2. Welcome to the addiction, Mike! I hear IG and FB are good ways to learn of MBs. But if you don't have an account, you can also go to http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/21842-official-mystery-box-thread/and click "Follow this Topic" in the top right. Dan does a great job posting an announcement of when MBs are live, as do other members on here.
  3. +2. A recent MB schedule is posted here: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/21842-official-mystery-box-thread/?p=506020, not including the latest on 9 Mar. Based on recent history, o/a 28 Mar, maybe a little later, is my estimate for the next release. Welcome to the addiction, Shaun!
  4. Agreed with doing detailing yourself. However, I think one comment you made might have been overlooked: "...bunch of scratches ranging from light to heavy." It's the last word, heavy, that has me a little concerned. If your fingernail catches on the scratch, it's possible you won't be able to correct it all the way as new paint work otherwise could. If you're OK with that, and not having "(near) perfect paint, press on with the recommendations above, get the kit, buy Mystery Boxes, etc. If not, new paint may very well be your best option to begin your Adam's adventure! Recommend you post some pics of the worst damage and let the experts on here weigh in.
  5. Three cars in the driveway. Not one of them orange.
  6. This just. Got. Interesting. Has anyone ever seen BRZN and his car in the same place?! Just imagine it's foam from a Foam Canon and you may sleep a little better. Have fun shoveling/snow blowing/digging....... I can only imagine how the owners will clean those cars off. <Insert cringe here> Maybe throw an Adam's sticker under their windshield wiper...if you can find it...and your work number. Good Samaritan thing. Keep the pics coming!
  7. Welcome to the addiction, fm! Around here, ADD could well mean "Adam's Detailing Deficiency." It's what leads to more and more orders. We all suffer from it. You've been warned.
  8. Welcome to the addiction, Jake! MBs are an awesome way to get started. Enjoy.
  9. Waaiiit a minute. Is your profile pic the model, too, and those are just tiny little trees?! I'll be darned if I get fooled 3 times.
  10. Tape over them (3M painters or auto performance), at least any sharp edges if not the whole badge. If you don't, you run the risk of damaging the pad (been there!). You can then use your machine polisher, assuming you have one, to get closer with less worry. And/or you can hand polish around them using one of the hex grip applicators. Check out this article, too: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/20630-faq-what-kind-of-tape-should-i-use-to-mask-off-trim/
  11. Ok. I was fooled. Twice. Thought it was Photo Shopped. Now find out it's a model. I rescind my "slick paint" post ! Unless you coated it...
  12. Yeah, it's great stuff. Not the most pleasant smell, but Dan has said it could be worse (before odor masking agent added). Recommend disposable gloves to keep from smelling like it all day. Also, remember not to apply it to warm/hot wheels, either. Let them cool before cleaning.
  13. Just don't shovel off the cars. Unless you want an excuse to break out the polisher. P.S. Keep the pics coming!
  14. No snow on her. That's some slick paint!
  15. #1 Way to Ensure Release of Products You Really Want Tomorrow: Place an order for something else today.
  16. Josh and I are on the same brain wave at 7:38PM (Mountain).
  17. No, haven't tried that mix. See this thread for more ideas: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/32204-strip-wash-question Bottom line, I've used Dawn, while others recommend CS and APC.
  18. I just did my second-ever waterless wash yesterday - forgot how good that stuff smells . The car looks great, but I was left wondering what I should do to clean the tires "without water." Didn't even think about it last time, apparently. What do you all do? Thanks in advance. P.S. I guess the same question could be asked for a Rinseless, but I haven't done that yet.
  19. With the approaching Nor'easter, just wanted to tell you all to bundle up and stay safe. When you can, maybe post some pics of the "apocalypse," it's impact on your cars (hopefully just snow on top ), and how Adam's pulled you through afterwards. Anyway, best wishes...
