Any pad run full speed, or even run for too long at less than full speed, can get too hot and melt the glue between the foam and velcro, which happens with other brands of pads, too.

The instructions for the Mini SK also state:

"The Swirl Killer MINI is intended to be used for spot correction of specific areas on a vehicle where a fullsize machine polisher cannot fit. It is not designed or intended to be used to paint correct an entire vehicle. Most swirl mark removal can be achieved at speed setting 3 or 4 on the adjustable speed dial, with the higher speed 5 and 6 left for heavier scratches."

Just like most things detailing, not everything can be included in the instructions, and experience and learning are a big part of this activity.

Certainly, that's not to say a pad or batch of pads might fail prematurly, or perhaps a newer version of the pads will work better. So if you have an issue, the best thing to do is call in to Customer Service, or send an email to orders@adamspolishes.com. That way, the rep can get more info, possibly provide some advice, and most likely get your product replaced.

One more tip, if you have been running a pad fast or for a longer time, let it cool off while still attached to the machine, before trying to remove it. When the glue is hot/warm, the velcro is more likely to separate from the foam when the pad is removed.

I never imagined id have to google fly poop to see what it looks like lol, but how about a toothpick instead of a blade? I have never dealt with fly droppings, but it seems like a toothpick might be a little safer than a blade.

You think it’s a interior scrub pad too! :lolsmack:
If you know Adams you know they always have something better and different. Look at normal detailing clay and then look at Adam’s clay, a different type of clay with a geoelastic tool.

This is a clay mitt, and know that it will marr so polishing after is required.

In preparation for the upcoming Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle, PA I wanted to clean up our 2015 Hellcat wheels. We get a lot of brake dust (particularly in the front) which makes cleaning difficult.

This is what the wheel looked like before I started but after I washed it like I normally do on the car.

I started with Adams Wheel Cleaner to pull the iron off the wheel.

I then washed the wheel again with Adams Strip Wash. I clayed both the front and barrel of the wheel. After claying I used Adams Finishing Polish, a white foam pad, and my Rupes Mini to polish the barrel. I used a blue hex applicator with the Finishing Polish on the front of the wheel. I washed the wheel again to help remove the polish. I next moved on to the Adams Coating Prep and wiped down both sides of the wheel. I then applied the  Adams Ceramic Wheel Coating per the instructions. It went on and off super easy. To avoid high spots I rolled each wheel out into the sun so I could see what I missed. I also coated the calipers the same way (minus the polish).

This is after the coating and a coating of Adams Ceramic Boost.

I am more then pleased with the results! The coating itself was super easy to apply. The hard part is getting the wheel completely cleaned and polished. I can't wait to get the wheels dirty so I can see how well they clean up!

I have used a Rupes mini, and after a bunch of reading on here I would offer this advice.

It seems that if you are only doing a few corections a year, go with the SK the cost savings can allow you to add more pads and other products to your arsenal. If you are doing a bunch of cars a year I would go for the rupes.
