Here are the after pics.  One disclaimer, I hadn't finished the wheels yet or the grill.  Also, on a side note the Fedex lady must have known I was gonna be washing the truck today.  Right before I started she dropped off my Adam's sidekick blaster.

Many thanks to everyone for your input on my first wash of the new truck!

Well, after about 5 hours or so I finished my first wash, clay, and H20 GG.  I've used Adam's products for a good number of years but this was my first time with the foam cannon, visco clay, and H2O GG.  I am happy to report that I'm VERY happy with how things turned out and the ease at which the products worked, then again, Adam's products have always worked great for me!!!  The truck only has 200 miles on it so the before and after pics won't be shocking since it was somewhat clean to begin with.  In person though, it's a whole different ball game.  Knowing what it looked like before washing and everything else to how it looks now..........AMAZING!!!!  The paint looks like you could swim in it.  I can't imagine what this thing will look like after a correction and ceramic coating!

Dan@Adam's,  I actually did exactly the method you mentioned.  Once I was done washing the truck I pulled it into my garage and didn't even dry it.  I used detail spray and set out to the claying process.  It took me a little longer than most probably but this was my first time and I wanted to do things thoroughly.  The process worked great!  After the clay I rolled her back outside and washed her again.  This time I finished with the H2O GG, I was in the direct sun while doing this but a light elbow grease is all that was needed to get the product on and off in a timely manner.  The H2O GG works just like the video depicts!

Anyway, here are some before pics of the truck.  Again, it was fairly clean to begin with.

    Hello all,

Wanted to take a minute and introduce myself.  I've used Adam's products for many years but this is my first time on the forum.  Most of the products I have used over the years have been the car shampoo, detail spray, VRT, and most of the interior products.  Just using those products has kept me sold on Adam's products but also the ONLY products that I will use on a vehicle.

I recently purchased a brand new vehicle and want to keep her looking just as good as she does now for many years to come.  My initial plan for the short term is to give her that first wash with the new foam cannon I received, clay the entire painted surface and glass, followed by a rinse and some H2O Guard and Gloss.  I figure this will get me by until I have the time and necessary equipment to do a full paint correction followed by ceramic coating the paint, trim, and lastly wheels.

Give me your thoughts and ideas on my initial short term plan.  Also, here is a pic of the new toy.

Thanks and have a great day!

This was my old ride.  As you can see, Adam's helped me keep it looking damn sharp for the time I had it.  She didn't look anything like that when I got it but with a good weekend of cleaning it turned out pretty nicely.  It was tough letting that one go but it was time and the new vehicle itch got to me lol.  Sad part at least for the dealer anyway, my Avalanche looked better inside and out than most of the vehicles they had on the lot, including new vehicles.  Is it bad when you specifically ask the dealer NOT to wash or detail your new vehicle before delivery lol!?

Thank you for the quick replies and suggestions.  The more I think about it, the more I'm inclined to follow the video and use the detail spray as my clay lubricant for my first time out.  As I mentioned, this will be my first go around at claying an entire vehicle and I feel it might be better, for me anyway, to get the process down before moving onto different techniques.  I'm not saying another technique doesn't work with great results by any means!  Guess I want to learn the basics before graduating to intermediate level claying if that makes sense lol.

Also, paint sealant was mentioned.  Right now the plan is to get the first wash in along with clay followed by H20 GG.  I still need to order the 15mm LT polisher and other products to do a paint correction.  Once I get the paint correction done I will follow with ceramic coating on the wheels, trim, and paint in that order.  At least that's the plan moving forward.

Thanks again to all of you for such quick replies and the suggestions and tips!
