Looks nice like that, but they take up way too much room.

I'm still on the fence if I'm goin or not this year.

I am definitely going to be there Friday and possibly Wednesday. Just not sure if Wednesday is worth going to.
-

Wash mitt extension
davered00ss replied to rrmccabe's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
I bought one at Walmart with a microfiber mitt on the end you can remove and was for my Tacoma double cab. I still have to get up in the bed to wash and wax the roof. -
The bottles of Jay Leno products look a lot like Adam's. I heard a rumor they were rebranded Adam's products? Any truth to this?

Really looking forward to Seeing Adams at Barrett Jackson in CT.

Iron Remover then Clay?
davered00ss replied to JJ Stin's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
I just did it on the GF's white jeep. Process I did was: Iron Remover Wash- foam Gun & scrub down clay Mitt- with wash bucket & soap Clay bar Maguire's Cleaner wax with buffer- jeep doesn't get a lot of attention. I wanted a test vehicle before I tried my Black Truck or son's Black Sand Pearl Scion TC. Iron spots are very visible on white car. -
Spreading Wax by Machine
davered00ss replied to Briggs Michael's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
If you are doing it slow, just make sure you are not heating up the pad. It can mess up the cleat coat/paint. It depends on the car how long I take. I take longer on the Corvette than the Tacoma, Jeep, Scion, or my mothers Camary. I also use different wax dependent on what car, use, and how long it will go between waxes. -
Took mine out for a ride after a full detail, and got dirty. I had to wipe it down with detail spray when I got home. I love the Adams Buttery Wax.

How long do you keep your wash mitt/pad for?
davered00ss replied to InkMing's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
I go by looks, but they have a short life on the corvette, then they go to the daily driver bucket. Once they look like they have things stuck in them that wont come out its time to go. -
Thanks Jim. I did check the product life on the forum and I think everything is ok. They were stored in a closet in the guys house. He had an awesome 2013 Z06, snow mobiles, chopper, heated garage. I don't think they were ever exposed to heat or freezing. Bottles are kind of neat, they say what detail step # they are. It came with a DVD I may actually watch. It looks like it was a kit designed for people to follow the steps. it also has a laminated reference guide with what to use and how to use it. Might be really old, but kind of cool. It looks like the 2 polishes were made to be used by hand. I did find a 10 year old video of them by Adam. lol

I thought the same thing, but a few of the products shouldn't be affected. The revive polish did mix back after shaking it, it is now uniform color and consistence. and its only $60 bucket, wash mitt, applicators and towels are worth that.
-
just opened the clay bar. Its not the kit, just a blue bar. A couple of things I will have to look up online to see how to use.

Trying to get motivation to do full detail on Corvette

Done. Clayed the Car with Adams Clay bar. I love the impression tool. Car was dirtier than I thought. It didn't take long at all to do, but I used a lot of detail spray. After we hit it with Maguire's Cleaner wax with the Porter cable. Topped it off with Adams Buttery Wax. I don't have any glaze, but it seems like something I might want to try. I even waxed the rims. We did put some Maguire's Tire dressing on the tires. I want to get some Adams tire shine, just haven't ordered it yet, and Eric is a big Megs fan and its what he brought over. I think I'm winning him over to Adams and the Rag Co. Its cloudy and about to rain. If it was nicer out I would take some pictures. The car looks better than ever. I love the Buttery wax. -

got a couple friends coming over. One that knows what he's doing and the other that is going to keep his hands in his pockets. But he can order pizza and make Booze run like nobodies business. -
