  1. Steve, I like the original size- but LOVE the new size!! That will be my choice from now on. I find it easier to use; a perfect 4x fold fits my little paw very nicely. Here's the big question- when will we be able to order these in bath towel size?
  2. Well said Adam. I agree 110%, and I'm sure others do too; that's why we're SO excited for this product!
  3. My bet is the fluorescent lights are killing it. They wreak havoc on finishes and splach reflection every which way. The color temperature of the fluorescent light will change the reflected color of the vehicle. We see this all the time with our new Acuras. Outside the color will look one way, with specific hues. Under the "devil's lights" many things can change. Also, flaws will be more prevalent under those lights. Can you put smooth diffusers over the fluorescent bulbs? That may help the appearance of your car while under them. I feel your pain...
  4. "Thank You Adam. (P.S., I'll let you explain to my wife when she see's the bill for my next orders, and finds a bunch of bottles in the garbage.)"<!-- / message --><!-- sig --> Adam, You probably need to start a group for guys that are in big trouble from their wives for buying too much product. I have to constantly sneak my new bottles in and find ways to hide the bills. "Oh honey, that's for YOUR car... Oh honey, I just HAD to buy more- it ran out so fast" and so on and so forth. She hits harder than Joe Louis! Adam, can you help your brothers out?
  5. Layson- Hello from Portland! Wow, that is one beautiful truck!! You're using the BEST protective and shine enhancing products in the world now. Adam's Products will be very safe for that valuable paint you have. You have made a wonderful tribute to your brother. We're all very sorry for your loss. And we're all thankful there are brave individuals like your brother, who choose to risk it all for our protection. Our gratitude is beyond words. Welcome to the group.
  6. Adam and Team- we can't wait to get our paws on that paste wax!! This product will sell like hotcakes, I know a dozen folks that will want it ASAP.
  7. Derek- WOW! Nice job, that truck is "cleaner than a wedding day!"
  8. Hey Ron, Welcome to Adam's Forum! The gang will take excellent care of you and offer tips and advice. You'll love it. How about treating us to some pictures of your beautiful 'Vette? Jim
  9. I used VRT on some old linoleum counter tops. It brought the shine right back! Of course, I had to wipe 'em down to take away the top layer of product but overall it really worked well!
  10. Devin, That Cobra is absolutely beautiful!! Wow! I've got a white '03 Terminator. Hey, quick question- where did you get those hood vents that you have? Thanks! Jim B
  11. No! He's not in my kitchen... With a house full of teenagers it's tough to keep things as tidy as a waxer likes, especially the stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. No sooner do I clean it than a hungry young member of the tribe goes in search of food and gets fingerprints all over the 'fridge. "Okay," I thought, "Detail Spray should do the trick." I gave all the stainless the once over- and since I'm like you- a total geek for detailing something, they got the twice and the three-times over too. The Detail Spray and Super Plush Microfiber (new small size!) did the trick. Don't know why I've not done this before? Finger marks are not nearly as evident, and my wife doesn't think I'm a complete fool... Hmmm, not sure about that last thought.
  12. "I'm a... car guy, not a photographer!"
  13. Hey Adam, We've used the smaller super plush microfiber. Wow, this is excellent sizing! It's "just right" for my turtle paws when removing that Buttery layer. I think this product will be very popular due to the ease-of-use; being slightly smaller it doesn't try to unfold itself when using. Great choice!
  14. My sons and I were there- courtesy of Adam! The show was great and Adam's booth and setup were first class. However, I didn't get any pictures? So, I guess "it didn't really happen?!":willy:
  15. Adam, big hugs for everyone. That is tough beyond words...
  16. Hey Scott and Rosie! It was nice to meet you at the clinic in Vancouver on Sunday. The boys and I look forward to seeing you again! Jim B
  17. Wow! That's a '95? What products did you use on it? Nice job!
  18. Derek- Hey, call me directly for that TL whenever you're ready (503-292-0662 or email jbrown@tonkin.com). I run the store, so I'll make sure you are well taken care of. It was great to meet you yesterday. Remember, we carry Adam's products at RT Acura in Beaverton. Call me when you need something. Jim
  19. Hey Derek, great photos; it was nice to meet you yesterday at the clinic. Have fun doing the rest of your truck- that's a sweet ride. Now you've got the "stuff" to make it really stand tall! Cheers, Jim B
  20. The Portland / Vancouver area had a visit from Adam this weekend. Adam and Co. set up shop at the Portland Roadster Show. NW'erners LOVE Adam's Products and they bought nearly everything in the booth, with many sellouts. That's a great testiment to the outstanding choices Adam has put together for us detail junkies. Of course, The Man himself- Adam, was working the show and attracted huge crowds with his demos. Today he and Bill Jaywaad hosted a detail clininc in Vancouver. Attended by about thirty brave car care fanatics, the cold weather held out until the last minute then the snow arrived. We continued inside, where Adam answered questions, gave tips, and made sure everyone felt welcome. We were even treated to samples of upcoming "test" products that are going to be VERY COOL! Look for details soon! All-in-all, a fabulous time was had by everyone attending. We hope to have Adam back soon! Thanks to Adam and Bill for putting this event together!
  21. Hey Shane- Welcome, from Portland. We were lucky this weekend- we had Adam in town for a detail clinic. Everyone had a great time, Adam put on a great, informative show, and Bill had product handy for those who wanted it. You'll find the products to be outstanding, and the customer service from this company to be unbelievable! The folks on the forum will always help with questions and are a very friendly bunch. Good looking trucks you have there!
  22. "And nice showroom you have there :hi::hi:" (C 6 Bill said) Thank you! All of our showroom vehicles are layered with Buttery Wax. We use Detail Spray daily on them. All of the vehicles are touched with numerous Adam's Products as needed on final detail prior to delivery. This has significantly raised our customer satisfaction scores with regard to "Condition of vehicle upon delivery."
  23. Adam, good to see you too. You know- our store takes much pride in customer service; like you and your staff do. The story you told us about the guy who called you directly... well I've got to shout it from the mountain top! So, a customer calls Adam and he's having a "problem" with an Adam's Product. Adam's response was "Okay, I'll send someone over to fix the problem and replace your product, or fix the problem and give you a refund." Any customer would say "Wow" to this response- right? Well guess what? This customer was in Canada. Adam had to help his staff member take a day to get the passport, bought the plane ticket, arranged the hotel and rental car. The staff member flew to Canada and arrived on scene, fixed the problem (which was, by the way, caused by the customer- not the product), replaced the product and flew home. This is an epic customer service story! It will certainly be told by me in the years to come when I train future staff members. That is the kind of service that absolutely blows people away!
  24. Wow, I have to say that Adam provides customer service that is second to none in this industry. First of all, who else puts their personal cell phone everywhere for their customer to have? None that I know of. Adam is in Portland for the Portland Roadster Show, and he stopped by our dealership (Ron Tonkin Acura) today. We had a great visit with him. As a dealer of Adam's Products we proudly fly the flag and it was very cool to have him in our store. So many of us who work there are detail junkies! We were showing Adam around and as we got to the parts counter a customer was looking at a bottle of clear mask polish. He turned to us and said "does this stuff work?" I pointed to the label and said "Well, here's Adam- ask him!" Imagine the surprise! Before you know it, Adam and the customer are hot-footing it (geeze you walk fast Adam!) to the customer's car. Adam spent about 30 minutes working on the car and answering questions for the man. Talk about customer service. By the way, he came back later and bought more products. Adam, thanks for stopping by, and keep up the top-of-industry service! It truly is second to none! Your Pals at Ron Tonkin Acura, Portland Oregon.
  25. Adam, The boys and I did their Legend last Saturday with Gen2 pads and polish. In the cold and humid Oregon air- it came out amazing! The finish on this 14 year old car is so shiny you could probably shave in the reflection. Not stopping there, I took the 7424 and the Machine Wax (black stuff) to Lori's CRV. Wow! The car is white and the shine just roars off of it now. I must say that it was faster to do this than buttering by hand. Okay, I've got a question re the 7424. I see a competitor has a machine with their private label on it- it's probably the same machine, but I don't know. Anyway, they have a horeshoe shaped handle for it instead of a straight handle. I like that. Do you know if that can be purchased anywhere for the 7424? Okay Adam, one more thing... you keep promising a paste wax. Are you teasing us or what? Cheers Brudda, Jim Brown
