  1. What's the difference between Aerosol Glass Cleaner and the bottled green glass cleaner?

Is either good to go to clay bar a windshield & is one product better than the  other & why......

I've got a 2017 F150 that sites outside 24/7 & runs from 100 degree summers to -35 winters & looking for the best products to clean the inside and outside with & then seal the windshield as it's subject to some nasty summer rain storms and ugly winter sleet/snow storms and ice buildup.

  2. Well, hit Adams, walked out with 2 bags full & kept going south to the Springs, had a wonderful corned beef Sammie and a couple of Stella beers @ one of my favorite places and made it home all in once piece....,Course it was raining so hard we hydroplaned several times and as usual the traffic stinks.....rain went from beading up on the car to meh, glass want from great to crappy vision and the inside was fogging up also it was raining so hard so long..........

More for my own reference than anything....so I don't forget....

In between storms the next few days.....clay bar windshield and seal it....clean inside windshield and then put BG on it....same for moon roof....

Wash wheels, tires and body.....then clay bar, then paint sealant.....Guess I should put some APC in the soap to strip off anything left on the car.....

    Paint Sealant..........

    Buttery Wax........

Wash morning of show with Rinseless Wash ......at airport.....

    Brilliant Glaze.....and drink beer....

Depends really on what kind of bugs you think you will see but spraying PAM (yes the cooking non stick oil) on the front drastically reduces bugs ability to stick. That is mostly a love bug situation thing but works for any bug. Just depends on what and the amount. Just normal highway bugs I would stick with only WW.

I've known a few guys to so the PAM thing, it alwys is a gooey mess that turns into a pain to get off, don't know why, no idea what products they are using, but when they spray pam on, it gums up and gooes mess.....

I have pulled onto a field and can be "show" ready in about 30 min, 60 is obviously better but if she is fairly clean it does not take too much really. Clean and clayed paint releases fresh bugs fairly easily. Of course a good wax coat really helps.

Could possibly clay her, but I seriously doubt wax, that's a full day event for me & why I'm in love with  H20 G&G

  5. Not trying to spend 40 hours on her, that would kill me ? Just wnt to clean her up good, make her shine & pop a little and not get embarrassed by a dull dirty car.......

No wax on her other than what was applied from a couple touchless car sashes where we could not do anything else & she was so filthy I was about to stroke out & that's been 4k miles or more ago.

Otherwise just wash her with Adams shampoo/foam gun and H20 G&G.......and the wheel cleaner as the brass was black from brake dust....

Have Detail Spray, but have never used it, bottle and 1/2 of WW &  just got Brilliant Glaze & a couple applicators for the inside of the windshield......

Might need to make a high speed run to Adams tomorrow ?

  6. Got told last night we are going to be in a car show next weekend.......

Question is, how do you prep for a car show...drive 100 miles, stay in a hotel, drove 60 miles to the venue.....

Is there something ya can smear on the front end and then wipe off to help keep the bugs down?

Will be the 1st real car show we are entered into and have actually attended.....have no idea what to expect or how to prep....

SHe's a daily driver, no garage, kept outside & has 10,670 miles on her & not quite 6 months old........

    Help ?

I would love to know how many F8 were made overall, but I doubt that info will be released for a bit yet. Im hoping to get a build sheet as well for the chally side eventually. Heck I bought mine from 400 miles away lol thank goodness it was my buddy that was the sales manager who took care of me.

Read this on another forum, "2018 builds end on July 13, PLMCRZY should have numbers not long after that" so I'm just waiting for PLMCRZY to announce when the Config Trees are ready.

  8. With us doing so much traveling, the front has a clear bra on, but the bugs can get thick and heavy & trying to clean them off as much as possible as time permits as they really drive me nutz.

Normally we find a touch less car wash someplace and I'm just looking for something I can pre soak with that will help soften and loosen the crap up with.

Sounds like the best way to go is full strength waterless wash sprayed on a few min before washing when on the road & then when we get home & can break out the hose and use a  IK Foam sprayer & car shampoo/water mix.

  9. Ok, so I'm a flipping idiot......I've been in that bay 6 May for the Horsepower Detail Clinic  & took home a couple buckets full of product......I asked if ya were going to detail cars and never really got a good answer....

However, looking at the pictures, I can see a sign above the car as Adam washes it, heck you guys should have a lot of pictures as one of your guys got a camera and took tons of pictues & made it should like some video even... ?     ?

  10. Been thinking about having the Charger Ceramic Coated and I'm not in the position to be able to do it right and was wondering if you had a list or could recommend some detailers from Cheyenne to Denver that used your products.

I've talked to 2 detailers here in town and they won't say what they use, just that they use the best and what "we" found works the best.....yet tires come out brown after a detail....so looking for somebody who actually knows what they are doing.......

Now it would be kick *** if you would do them at the shop, scheduled a few a month and even make videos when your working on em......

I think it was @mc2hill who keeps wash n wax mixed up to foam on his wheels.  I did the same and sprayed the front bumper while working on the wheels today.  I think this might be my new favorite method. (You could get the ik sprayer and use waterless wash / diluted rinseless too.)

Interesting, just put a waterless wash in this as a pre soak & foam the front end at the car wash.......what is the benefits of foaming vs using a spray bottle???

Its an awesome color, first released very tailed end of 68, but technically a 1969 color, brought back at least for now as a 1 year release.

I have a Shaker Chally Scat pack in F8 and LOVE IT! Its really an awesome color and has a lot of pearl to it.

As for tips and tricks, get a stool to roll around on, really helps with the pain from bending all the time. Also, plan out your detail make sure you can move around as needed or use the planning to minimize your bending. Sometimes a good plan is all it takes.

Had a 16 Red Scat pack, saw this one, gave it a test drive and it came home with us, could not believe how much better the ride is and that's very important for me & now with SRT only producing them one year in the green.......need to get a build sheet so I can tell exactly how many were made in this configuration/color.....

Maybe the folks in your area or Adam's could recommend someone local.  Heck maybe you could 'offer up' your whip as a test mule for them!

Attended a Horsepower Therapy event at their new location and Adam gave us **** cuz it was so dirty and he used it as the washing detail demo car.....now if I could just get back down there when they are open....or be in the area for one of their events.

I have the standard foam gun and have used the regular shampoo and ultra shampoo.  The difference that I have found is that I need a little less shampoo with the Ultra for the same results.  The product descriptions say Concentrated and Ultra say Super Concentrated, which would explain why less is required.

I am on a well and my water pressure is 55 at the hose, I wouldn't call it high pressure, but it isn't bad either.  I am using the Yellow tip and in reviewing the description on the foam gun it states:  The Adam's Car Wash Foam Gun now ships with only 2 yellow-green and 2 purple metering tips. We recommend using the yellow-green metering tip and keeping the other as a spare. The purple metering tip can be used for a higher flowrate, but it will use up the Car Shampoo and water mixture in the 32oz bottle more quickly.

My flowrate isn't real high due to pipe sizing, but the pressure is good and I get good coverage with either shampoo and the Yellow tip.  I have not tried using the Purple tip since the Yellow was recommended and it works good.

I got the old instructions with the new tips and was just guessing on the tip, can easily swap out the purple for yellow and see what happens....

You sound like a candidate for a coating.  The great thing about them is you can use strong soap (Strip Wash, or add APC to your favorite Adam's soap) to clean the car, and not worry about affecting the protection.  This should make cleaning after a long road trip easier.

    Coating as in ceramic???

Will need to find somebody to actually do it, what should one look for in a shop and are they all created equal, or is one better than another??
