  1. Welcome to the forums! Congrats on the new vehicle!
  2. Hi Adam, Congrats on the new vehicle! I will give you my opinion and then I will point you to some other write ups that may help you in making a decision. My opinion is that Ceramic Coatings are absolutely worth the time, effort, and money. I ceramic coated my vehicle many months ago, and am still seeings the benefits. The coating I applied was Adams Ceramic Spray Coating, which is a little easier than a traditional coating, but is not expected to last as long as a traditional coating. One thing to keep in mind with Ceramic Coatings is that they require some preparation and there is a pretty extensive process to follow: Please feel free to ask any of us any questions you may have.
  3. I have been thinking about getting one (or more) of the iK Pressurized Multi Sprayers, and wanted to hear some opinions and uses for it. I see my best use for it being for rinseless/waterless washes. What do others use it for? Also, how simple is this thing to clean if I want to switch chemicals that I'll be using?
  4. I also think that’s a great start. only other thing I would recommend is looking at 16oz H20 guard and gloss. It will give you more protection than the detail spray and is just as easy to use. It’s one of my favorites; however, I totally understand if that’s not for you, then I would say you’re good to go!
  5. LEMON POUND CAKE 🍰?! I think I might just make that my normal shampoo... like for my head
  6. So the 2019 Fourth of July Detail Spray smells like Root Beer to me
  7. Welcome! That's a nice collection!
  8. Welcome, Mark! Feel free to ask any questions, people on the forum will jump at the opportunity to help... I think I would suggest the mystery buckets. They're so fun. And everything in Adam's product line has a place. But like Rich said, it's a risk if you're trying to get a specific product.
  9. Hi Mike, Welcome! Adams has an amazing selection of products to help you clean, correct and protect your paint. They have really made products that are diy friendly. And this forum is a great place for people to share tips and experiences with you. Let us see some pictures of the scratches and contamination on the paint? That might give us a better idea of what it is you need. I can start off by saying that Detailing has become something that I (and probably the majority of people on here) look forward to. It started off as a need to maintain my vehicle, now it's what I like to do to get away. Adams has done a great job of making my experience enjoyable as a detailer. I understand what you're saying, and I believe that Adam's has a great system to get you amazing results without damaging your vehicle. I can make a few basic recommendations based on what you provided so far - hope this helps: Use a safe shampoo for washing the car. Car Shampoo is a great place to start. If you have a pressure washer and are interested in foaming your vehicle, take a look at the Ultra Foam shampoo. Make sure you have a safe wash pad or microfiber washmitt for the actual wash. And I would highly suggest getting high quality microfiber towels for many different steps in the process. It's common that people will use whatever towels are available for drying their vehicle. That's a big mistake that I made in the past causing damage to my paint. In terms of clay, my favorite right now is the Visco clay bar, but since you have a space ship, you may want to go with the Clay Mitt. It will help cover more area quicker. Make sure to use a lubricant Detail Spray is a great product to use for Claying, also for so many different things. Adam's detail spray is what made me start detailing. For paint correction/scratch treatment, take a look at the Polishing options that Adams has. If you're a beginner this will be a lot to take in, so maybe start by watching some of their videos to see how their process works. they also have a good youtube channel. For protection, I will point you to the link below to understand a little bit about what we're looking at. It's up to personal preference. I would recommend Ceramic Coating your vehicle if it's your daily driver. That's what I've done with mine, and protection is still visible and evident many months later. IF that seems like too much of a process, I would suggest using the Ceramic Paste Wax.
  10. Hi Lenore,I'm sorry I cannot help, but I just want to say that this is a very cool post. I'm grateful to be a part of a community that can do something like this.
  11. Thanks Greg! Yes it looks very bigger and taller than I expected. Thanks for putting it to scale!
  12. Welcome Justin! You're the one with the great mystery trunk organizer!
  13. I agree with all. Less is better with CB. Also like @Chris@Adams said, have several clean and dry microfibers ready. If your towels get too saturated, switch to a new one.
  14. Hi Hannah, Welcome to the forum. Yes, I'm confident you'll find some good info on here!
  15. Oh I believe it!! Ill do that! Thanks. No confusion, just wanted to make sure I was understanding. Thanks for bringing our questions to HQ!
  16. By "nappy" is that meaning like carpet, upholstery, suede, alcantra, etc. And what do people normally use for protection on the interior wood (or faux wood) trim? I usually just clean it, but have not followed up with any LC or anything. Next time I'll try with the Interior Protection Paste and let you guys know those results, but what do others use?
  17. Hi Kate, you may be able to try some APC and/or Surface Prep. I've noticed those help in breaking down waxes. In terms of polishers, I believe the 15mm SK will help you cover more area in less time.
  18. Yes I'm confident I've been leaving marrs all over my door sill, but I haven't thought of any other way to reach the roof/windshield without it. I tried it with a step ladder one time and it was not a fun experience. Basically just anxiety the whole time about slipping and having this sharp 4' aluminum ladder go crashing into my door. So that's why I've stuck to just the doors. I will have to find a way to justify buying one of these low stools, though.
  19. Very good point. I think most of use don’t think to be that crafty. Such a simple thing to do but will save so much time and unnecessary contact @shane@detailedreflections Good write up!
