Adam has also posted the "vote with your dollar" advice on this forum, but it was specifically in regards to the expansion into some of the branded merchandise, like shirts, hats, socks, etc.

His comment meant that if these other products do not interest you, then vote with your dollar and not buy them.  This comment was not meant to be applied to the company as a whole, only specific products.

Again, all these other products, including the swag products and the expansion into different equipment lines, have not in any way come at the cost of the constant development and refinement of the core chemical products.

Other than the "Made in USA" issue on some of the equipment, I just don't understand why offering any of these other products means that the company is no longer meeting its goal of providing the best quality detailing products, with unmatched support in this industry, to make it easier for customers to get the results they want, and to ENJOY the process!

Another general discussion topic not specifically directed to @ramflava:

The entire "re-branded" argument, when it comes to equipment, does not make any sense.  Adam's Polishes, just like the vast majority of detailing product companies, do not manufacture equipment.  Equipment is manufactured by...EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURERS.   These manufacturers design and build equipment, either as a standard item, or in many cases, to the specifications of the buyer or client.  For example, Adam's tells the manufacturing company what they want for specifications in a particular product, and then prototypes are built and tested, and then the final product is tested, then released.  In other cases, the main component of the product is already part of that manufactures product line, so Adam's might just make a few minor changes.  And since I know it will be brought up, there is also one major and well known EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER that also sells some detailing chemicals.

Simply put, Adam's Polishes manufactures detailing chemicals, and uses equipment manufacturers to build the equipment.  Just like they have textile manufacturers make the towels to their specifications, the brush manufacturers make the brushes, etc.  Yes, some products are off-the-shelf (buckets, some brushes, spray bottles), and some have only maybe color or other cosmetic changes, but they do not manufacture any of it, so why would people expect them to be manufacturing something as complicated as a piece of power equipment.

Contrary to what the uninformed masses (that spend too much time trolling FB and IG) might think, just because a specific piece of equipment might appear similar to another, it does not mean that company made it, and Adam's just slapped a sticker on it.  What is more accurate is that the same equipment manufacturer made variations of the different products, so some appearances are the same.  A good example is when the pressure washer was released.  People on IG and this forum were so quick to proclaim that it is just a re-branded Sun Joe, and some said Arksen, and yet more said Realm, and so on.  And none of those were the correct manufacturer.  Kyle stated that Apex makes the Adam's version.  So that likely means that Apex also makes some or all of those other "re-branded" pressure washers that look similar.

So I spent the last two days working on my 19 Equinox. It's black, so every single flaw is going to show up.  Washed and clayed the car, polished it using the Finishing Polish and Swirl Killer, wiped her down with the Ceramic Surface Prep, then started with Ceramic Spray Coating.  Two days of busting my rear in 90* heat in the garage, and I have to say, I'm damn happy with the results.   Check out the pictures. The last pic isn't dust............that's the metal flake in the paint. It just POPS now.

Miboy reacted to Yo-Yo Ma's Cousin in Liquid Ceramic Wax
I applied Liquid Ceramic Wax to my ceramic (spray) coated vehicle last week. The bottle says it was safe on all exterior surfaces, so I applied it on both paint and trim. It worked very very well on paint.. Really left awesome gloss and hydrophics! I was very impressed.

After a few days, though, I started to notice some white marks on my trim... At least it looks like my car has deodorant on.  But I specifically took the time to go over the trim an extra time or two. So I'm not sure if I should have taken even more time to wipe down the trim. Or if I should have avoided it to begin with.

Not a huge deal. Some TRC should take care of this easily. Just wanted to share my mistakes so people learn from me.

And don't let this be beef on the product, it worked amazingly on my paint. Really impressive! You can kinda see the gloss in the picture next to my deodorant white marks.

Miboy reacted to RayS in Transitioning to Ceramic Paste Wax
After using Ceramic Paste Wax on the Mustang and then the daughters Fiesta, I decided to transition the truck to CPW.  The truck had not been stripped, clayed and polished in a year, so it was time to spend a weekend showing it some love.  The truck was in great shape so it didn't take much to get everything cleaned up starting with a Strip Wash, after the SW, I hit it with Iron Remover, rinsed it off and then into the garage to be clayed.  I would have clayed outside, but the weather did not permit it.

After it was clayed using the Clay Mitt, I check it for marring and it was minimal.  I decided to go with One Step Polish on the hood and front end and Revive Hand Polish on the rest.  It probably wasn't necessary, but I did go over the hood and front with Revive to ensure it had the same last product touching the paint as the rest of the truck.  Once I completed the truck with Revive, I wiped it down with a clean double-soft, which I repeated this morning before I started applying CPW.

The humidity was very high today, I started with a very thin coat of CPW on the roof.  It got tacky after about 5 minutes and that is when I started to take it off with a single-soft.  The method I use for putting the wax on, is to use a half-turn of the applicator and go over about a 3 square foot section or about half of a hood.   If the applicator starts to stick, then you need more wax.   I do not use any machines when waxing, call me old-school, but that is my preferred method.

The weather has been poor all weekend, so I don't have the best pictures, so I'm sharing the one I was able to take from inside the garage and one I grabbed after the last storm went through.  In about two weeks, I'll give it a two bucket wash and use Ceramic Boost as the drying agent.  Since the truck sits outside, I'll use CB every 4-6 weeks according to how it looks feels.  If the Mustang is any indication, I think it will be around 6 months before it needs another coat of wax.   I think by the time it needs another coat of wax, I'll probably put on a base coat of Ceramic Spray Coating - we'll see how much I have left of the other chemicals before I make the decision.

As for the cost of the CPW, it is expensive from the investment standpoint, yet the amount of product used is so minimal that I expect to get 20 or so vehicles out of a container.  Without a doubt the shine and beading from the wax is exceptional.

Update:  It is still raining, but when I let the daughter dog out, I there was at least some decent light to get a better picture.   The trees from the front fender are approximately one acre away.  The two things that really caught my eye was the back of the mirror and how you can see the trees and skyline.  The second item is how much better the wheels and tires look even though they were done on Saturday and I only put Ceramic Boost on the wheels.

I prefer to put in on the naked surface, but I have put it over Liquid Paint Sealant once and it worked just fine.  The key with CPW is keep the coating thin, it does not take much to cover the vehicle and the thin coat is much easier to work with.  I cannot tell you about the longevity when applied over LPS since it has one been three months since I did it, so far it looks great and I just over over it about once a month with Ceramic Boost.

I asked Adam's this same question a while back, when it first came out. Most thought it would work fine, but I couldn't really get a consensus. They probably know more now, but in interest of time and my customer's wishes, I ended up just applying only the CPW and he was thrilled. I think the results speak for themselves...

Miboy reacted to falcaineer in Thank a Veteran Today
From someone currently serving to all who have, are, and someday will, Thank You! I salute you.

    What is a Veteran?
Some veterans bear visible signs of their service: a missing limb, a jagged scar, a certain look in the eye.
Others may carry the evidence inside them: a pin holding a bone together, a piece of shrapnel in the leg - or perhaps another sort of inner steel: the soul's ally forged in the refinery of adversity.
Except in parades, however, the men and women who have kept America safe wear no badge or emblem.
You can't tell a vet just by looking.
He is the cop on the beat who spent six months in Saudi Arabia sweating two gallons a day making sure the armored personnel carriers didn't run out of fuel.
He is the barroom loudmouth, dumber than five wooden planks, whose overgrown frat-boy behavior is outweighed a hundred times in the cosmic scales by four hours of exquisite bravery near the 38th parallel.
They are the nurse who fought against futility and went to sleep sobbing every night for two solid years in Da Nang.
He is the POW who went away one person and came back another - or didn't come back AT ALL.
He is the Quantico drill instructor who has never seen combat - but has saved countless lives by turning slouchy, no-account rednecks and gang members into Marines, and teaching them to watch each other's backs.
He is the parade - riding Legionnaire who pins on his ribbons and medals with a prosthetic hand.
He is the career quartermaster who watches the ribbons and medals pass him by.
He is the three anonymous heroes in The Tomb Of The Unknowns, whose presence at the Arlington National Cemetery must forever preserve the memory of all the anonymous heroes whose valor dies unrecognized with them on the battlefield or in the ocean's sunless deep.
He is the old guy bagging groceries at the supermarket - palsied now and aggravatingly slow - who helped liberate a Nazi death camp and who wishes all day long that his wife were still alive to hold him when the nightmares come.
He is an ordinary and yet an extraordinary human being - a person who offered some of his life's most vital years in the service of his country, and who sacrificed his ambitions so others would not have to sacrifice theirs.
He is a soldier and a savior and a sword against the darkness, and he is nothing more than the finest, greatest testimony on behalf of the finest, greatest nation ever known.
So remember, each time you see someone who has served our country, just lean over and say Thank You. That's all most people need, and in most cases it will mean more than any medals they could have been awarded or were awarded.
Two little words that mean a lot, "THANK YOU".
"It is the soldier, not the reporter, Who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, Who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protestor to burn the flag."
