  1. So I've always had cheap cars; but last year I bought a new BMW m850i Convertible with vinyl soft top. At $140k, I'm afraid to ask how much it costs to replace the canvas top. So I'm very interested in cleaning, protecting, and making it last as long as possible. What do you guys use or do for tops? Or leave them alone as long as possible?
  2. Hey, so I'm new. I've been hiring detailer for years and with the pandemic started washing my own cars at home. Now 2 years later, I think I have a routine but I'm not sure if I'm missing a step or if anyone has suggestions for improvement. Also, I'd like to know what everyone uses to vaccum or clean the insides. So for me, I need to be able to wash all five of our family vehicles in a day or two. Thus, speed is important as quality. I start with the wheels using Adam's blue wheel cleaner. Wait for it to turn purple, clean it off and then get the Adams pro foam cannon and power washer with the water deionizer. I use the mega foam and wash it down. Then use some Adams cs3 to finish. Some Adams graphine tire shine and other glass cleaner. Anything I'm missing?
  3. I had the same problem until I drilled a hole in the small cap. Apparently I'm not the only one.
  4. I've used water spot remover, also something as simple as a new car wash (although time consuming) sometimes works. But the best solution is what I just bought. The $400 water deionizer. I bought mine from Adams for the easiest solution. Works like a champ. Only had it for 2 weeks, but for 2 cars so far - its done a great job. Adam's Portable Spotless Water Deionizer 10 reviews $399.99
  5. I bought a foam cannon and needed to switch the 1.2 mm orifice to a 1.1 mm to get it to work with the lower power from an electric. See if you can buy a smaller orifice. If not, buy the Adams. Recently I bought the Adams premium foam cannon, and I only wish it was cheaper so I could have bought 2. It's fantastic foam cannon, no adjustments needed.
  6. Maybe your foam is a bit too thick. Maybe adjust your dilution or your spray nozzles. They recommend like 2 drops in a full water foam cannon. I use like 3/4 water and 1/8 mega foam. My nozzles is around half way soap/water. And my fan pattern is kinda tight, not a straight line but maybe a 20 degree fan arc. Works for my entire Tahoe sized vehicles.
  7. Hi, first time here. I'm new, started washing my own cars during this "pandemic", and now I have some big toys and questions. What does everyone use first, second and last? I'm using the pressure washer and Adam's Portable Spotless Water Deionizer with the gun and premium foam cannon. But it's heavy and bulky to move all the equipment around. I've been using the soaps, and trying to find the best one and done, all in one. Maybe the ultra foam or the new graphene shampoo?
