  1. Welcome Patrick. I have always enjoyed you part of the world and hope to go back one day. Maybe I can convince the wife into a European Adam's tour.
  2. My wife and dog snoring on either side of me while on the couch. I can't move.
  3. 4. Randy that last pic is definitly a great photo. I like that a lot.
  5. Well her is the evolution of my Sky Stock My first mod was to fill in the Saturn emblem on the front chrome piece and then it was painted with a cherry pearl. it lasted a year or so befor enough rock chips caused me to cover it with vinyl Carbon Fiber. while I was at it I made the hood vents functional and had them painted as well. Next was an RK Sport Hood And RK SPort Front Lip then the engine got a few upgrades including an new intercooler, IC pipes, CAI, and a FlowMaster Exhaust. You cant see the HP tune that is also installed. Then I came here and learned a little bit about detailing: Wrapped the interior with some faux carbon fiber. I also removed the fenders and made the side vents functional and wrapped them in the same stuff. Added some cool lights (OK I think they are cool but few others agree) Then everything was repainted, a new rear facia was created and installed, and it was finally one color again.
  6. HA. I watched on of my nighbors in my condo lift his truck last year in his garage and couldn't figure out how to get it out when he was done. I spent a couple of hours watching until they finally realized they could just let some air out of the tires to clear that inch they needed.
  7. I only plan on doing a bright red Saturn Logo dead center on the IC. Anything more than that and I am concerned about clogging it up and restricting the airflow. But it should be very cool; black Sky, silver intercooler, red logo.
  8. Carbon Fiber DiNOC on two more parts, a few parts need some paint (i.e., intercooler logo), custom sound system for the trunk, head unit, replace the existing speakers, fix the rear cup holder, find that rattle between the trunk and passenger seat, and verticle doors maybe.
  9. Yeah but there are some VERY cool golf carts running around your neighborhood. My Aunt-in-law lives there. I hear there are some real speed demons street racing in them.
  10. Watching Shrek the Third and now I have "We Built This City" stuck in my head.
  11. That would be awesome. If it happens over Thanksgiving week I would come. I grew up in Utica and my whole family is out there. Best of both worlds; a Detroit upbringing and now I am 30 minutes from the Adam's warehouse.
  12. Now I can add a few events to my show schedule. Let me know if you guys need help at any of the Colorado shows. Thanks for posting this Lynn. Man I miss summer.
  13. Other than what has already been mentioned, my first concern is spraying hot steam onto a car in sub freezing temperatures. I would be afraid that the hot steam on cold glass could shatter the glass instantly. On a positive note, this may be good for hitting the door cracks, craveases, and other difficult to reach locations or for engine cleaning. I wouldn't use this for the application he is using but it shows promise in other applications.
  14. You can't put it anywhere that is going to heat up. The stuff uses heat to adhere to the surface and to be maliable. I put some on a plastic engine cover and it lasted about 20 miles. I had to take some off of a part today and I used a heat gun to soften it and peel it off. So no go on the exhaust. But on anything that won't see heat it is easy to install. Just clean it off with water and dawn to degrease it, then apply a layer of 3M Primer 94, let it set for 5 minutes. Cut a piece the size you need plus 2-3 inches extra in each direction. You lay it down in the middle of what you are working on and you have to heat it with a heat gun (my wifes hair dryer works just fine) as you flatten it out with a plastic squeegy. Start in the middle and work your way out. There are many videos on youtube to show you how to do this. Start on something flat before you do anything with a lot of curves and bends.
  15. I love the stuff. The 3M DiNOC is the way to go and there is so much more than just carbon fiber in black. There are many other colors and styles. Wood, stone, etc. but definitly do 3M viyl, other stuff is much lowe quality. I think it is easy to with. If you try it start with something small. I can give you some pointers if you want but I learned from watching videos on youtube and messing up on the small stuff. Here a company that sells many many styles: Interior Design Solutions, 3M DI-NOC Automotive Finishes, Carbon Fiber, Wood Grain, Brushed Aluminum I buy the CF from these guys: Metro Decals
  16. Here is what I did today. I wrapped the interior of my Sky with 3M DiNOC Carbon Fiber. I hate that GM decided every single kappa-based car would have the same silver color on the interior "boomerang" and the rear tulip and window surround. HATE IT. So the interior now matches the body kit and other mods. So here is what the interior looked like originally: And here it is now
  17. That is a HUGE difference and one of the best pictures I have seen to demonstrate the products. I am very very impressed. Thanks for sharing that Dylan.
  18. Thanks for the pics Dylan. I hope you guys are really having a great time. You have cars, sun, cars, lights, cars, buffets, cars, and heat. We have.....snow. You are so lucky.
