I need to know the best way to remove dried paint from under the fender wells and along the side of A truck. Paint has been there for some time. I've used apc and it does help to remove it but is there Any better method to use? When using apc it helps break it down but still have to scrap the paint off I don't mind doing this for the plastic fender wells but I don't like to scrap anything across my paint.

porter cable good for first timer??
JunkmansHomeboy replied to hemi1300's question in Paint Correction & Polishing
The porter cable is perfect for a beginner. I had never used a buffer either until The porter cable. There is pretty much no chance you can hurt your paint With a pc. Get one and review the Adams videos and get the process down. Your black paint will look awesome and will shine like new. -
Oxidized Headlights?!

What If the headlights are scratched ? -
Thanks for the replies. The car is about a year and a half old. The old process Was clay, swirl and haze remover, fine machine polish and then sealant. The car has always had two bucket washes and has been well taken care of. The car Is a daily driver for me but I only work a few miles from home so it's got less Than 6k miles. I think I'll hit it with the fine machine and white pad as suggested. I don't think it will require anymore than that. I couldn't see any swirls today looking at it In the sun but it is white and I have a hard time catching all the flaws with white.

I am wanting to prep my Z for winter. It had a complete paint restore when I first purchased it but nothing since. The paint isn't in bad shape at all. I don't want to use something very aggressive Because I don't feel like the paints condition warrants it. What's the least aggressive product I can use that will still remove imperfections In the paint?

I had a bottle crack too. Ran into my black Adams bag and now my bag looks like The one pictured in this thread. White on the bottom of bag. Ive only had it happen Once though but it did leak my entire bottle of product out. Things like this happen And I'm sure Adams guys will figure out what's up and fix it. -

Undercarriage, Who, Me?

Have you/ are you going to do photos of a paint correction? Really nice work. -
Very nice. I am looking at the new tiger woods 13. A lot of people dont like them But I like the look.

I agree. I just posted a topic along these same lines. I removed all imperfections from My Z the day I brought it home from the dealer. I washed it with two buckets and used a Foam gun too. I noticed some swirls In the finish the last wash. It's been a full year Since any corrections at all. My car is a daily driver with winter conditions to deal with. I'm either not good enough at washing or simply unable to keep swirls away. Im thinking I might do a correction every spring or something. I want my car to look good but I'm seeing perfection is an illusion unless your car sits in a garage it's entire life.

I bought my car a year ago new from nissan. I took it from the lot to the garage and used the pc and cleaned it up and removed all imperfections. That was a year ago. It is a daily driver and i have not done anything to it since then. Ive washed it and such but nothing else. I noticed some very minor imperfections today. How long does it take for a daily driver to get those introduced back into it given the elements and such? Also, How often do you guys work on imperfections on a daily driver? I am going to wax the car soon so ill give it a clay and such but i don't think i want to keep using a pc on this thing or at least don't want to use it a lot. it would have to kill the clear sooner or later wouldn't it? THanks guys.

I think anyone that has spent This much time on a detail can appreciate What Dylan has done. The time, sweat, Effort leaves you spent. Not to mention The heat that this job was done in. Great work Dylan.
