  1. I can agree with that. But in the case of the OP, what did he do incorrectly? He had the coating professionally installed along with a topper afterwords. He has taken great lengths to make sure his tap water is of the best quality. Although we don't know the exact time that elapsed between foaming and drying his truck that day, what else could be done to eliminate those spots?
  2. Bingo. This thread is bringing to light an issue with coatings that keeps me from putting them on my personal cars. They are more susceptible to water spots than the existing clear coat. They constantly need to be "topped" and maintained, just about as much as your actual clear coat. Other than the self cleaning abilities and initial gloss, I really don't see the benefits of a coating for people who are going to stay on top of their car's finish. For the person who never properly takes care of their paint, I think a coating is a good choice cause at least those contaminants or water spots aren't damaging the actual clear coat. I think just educating yourself on their real capabilities will limit the unrealistic expectations and help an individual make a decision that is best for their particular situation.
  3. There are several good detailers in Tampa. I would start my search there.
  4. Would be cool. I use a few Adams products on the interior of my boat but gelcoat is a different animal than clear coat.
  5. I wouldn’t use any of those products. You will have spent good money and a ton of time to reap the benefits of a ceramic coating. You will have tons of gloss and your washing/drying process should be noticeable easier. Use boost once a month and be done with it. Sit back and enjoy the coating. If you want to constantly rub on your car with other products then don’t do the coating.
  6. I haven't used it personally but the video reviews I have seen show the ease of use. One thing about Adam's, the products are "dummy" proof. Easy on, easy off. Since's it a new product, the real world durability results are still to be seen. Pan the Organizer just released a video today comparing it to two other similar products. The ease of use can be seen in real time. The durability results were not good for any of the three products but they also weren't real world tests.
  7. Oops just read your post about the length of the fender brush after posting my thoughts. I guess I wasn't the only one. Guess I will be getting the saw out, and drill, because then I will have to drill a new hole to hang it on my detail cart.
  8. On a related note, the current fender brush is just too long for me to maneuver in and around the center back portion of the fender well, even on my wife's Armada. I suppose I could take a saw to it but just a suggestion for a future release.
  9. Not sure but they just released a ceramic spray coating. I would like to see more concentrated products that can be diluted for economy and versatility. A "do-it-all" APC that can be diluted for a range of exterior and interior surfaces would be a great start. A leather coating would also be nice.

  11. I can't speak for Adam's coating specifically but this works with other tire coatings... Get a can of wax and grease remover from Autozone and some steel wool. It's going to take some elbow grease and time but it should come off.
  12. Looking forward to your honest assessment. Ease of use has always been a stable of Adam's products. Durability - not so much.
  13. Your guy gave you some bad advice. I would never wax over a coating.
  14. Tons of mobile detailers are doing outdoor coatings when the customer doesn't have access to a garage. You just have to be willing to reschedule them based on weather forecasts. Try to plan around high winds and rain obviously. It doesn't have to be parked in a garage for 2 days afterwords. It only needs a 4 hour cure time.
  15. There are other super quality towels that can be had for way less than that hex grip applicator. I wouldn’t use foam to apply.
  16. Good post. I have had similar experiences with the durability. The product you are using is fantastic but without real world durability reviews on CSC yet, I am not sure your question can be answered. I think the H20 G&G still has a place for those who do not feel comfortable applying a coating or who enjoy experimenting with other sealant type products which really can't be done over a coating. Concerning glass, again some may not feel comfortable with a coating so they are sticking with a sealant. Others may not want to fork over the $$$ for a glass coating. Options are good to a certain extent. I am one of those who is still using a glass sealant until its used up then I will move to a coating.
  17. I wasn't going to say anything about those child bearing hips, or the flowers on that decal... Haha!
  18. I love the selfie holding the huge pile of dirty towels, classic! Great job man.
  19. Do half the panel with 845 and half without. I would be interested in those results.
