All in the past for sure, thanks.  Just used the Patriot today.  I asked if topping Americana with it would be a disservice, and I agree, I'd really like to see it on its own, over sealant.  I just couldn't wait so I said to heck with it.  I have to be careful though, I tend to over-use product, learn to throttle back, then I'm good.  I'd rather not do that with this wax.  Since it comes off so easily, you can't gauge if you're using too much as you normally would.  I took it easy, and it rocked, even over a finish that could use a strip and light polish.

Hey, if I remember correctly, Chase squared me away with proper DS use.  I was using too much, you hooked me up with knowledge, loving the results.

camaro2ssblack got a reaction from Fit08 in Im confused on passes
Scott here is the terminology I like to use:

Single Pass - moving the polisher from one side of your 2' x 2' area to the other side
Section Pass - moving the polisher from side to side or up and down with enough overlapping passes to cover the entire 2' x 2' area ONE time
Buffing Cycle - amount of time needed to fully work the polish until it breaks down and becomes clear - usually 4-8 section passes

The most logical and efficient way to approach removing defects (IMO) is start with swirl and haze remover (orange polish with orange pad) and do one buffing cycle (4-8 section passes). Remove the residue and inspect your work. If you see significant improvement, do another buffing cycle and remove the residue. At this point the major defects should be gone and you can move to the finish polish (white polish and white pad). If you did not see significant improvement after the first buffing cycle with the orange products, then step up to the green polish and pad and do a buffing cycle and inspect. I think you get the idea from there. In my opinion it doesnt make sense to step down through the polishes just to get to the end and realize you didnt remove the major defects.
I hope that helps, hopefully I didnt confused you more, lol

It's good practice to remove the residue. Doesn't have to be a full wash, I simply wipe down with waterless wash before I polish each panel.

The wife and son were out of town today so I took the opportunity to try out a new LSP I was given a sample of. The LSP is not Adams so I wont elaborate on that but Adams products were used to clean and dress the car. Thought I would share a few pics...

Strip it with 2 oz APC, 3 oz Adams shampoo and 32 oz water in the foam gun.

    Wheels cleaned.

    Ready for a final rinse.

The blaster going to work. Love this thing!

After LSP, SVRT on all rubber and trim, and a Detail Spray wipedown with the new version (could definitely tell a difference from the original version, nice job Adams)

Machine super wax and machine super sealant are the exact same product. Lay down the sealant and let cure. Apply Americana the next time you wash it.
