Awesome post as always! After looking at them both, the Mini and Nano, I came to the conclusion that both tools cannot replace each other the same way that the Mini and the Flex (or Rupes 15 or 21), cannot replace each other. As long as auto design and industrial design in general evolves and progresses to more sophisticated shapes there will always be a use for all machines.

I use the blue 4 inch pad on a cordless drill. The sides/edges of the pads I use to polish the sides and bottom of the pipes, the top I do by hand.

I pulled the trigger and bought a Mini! Can't wait to use it on pillars and bumpers.

I'm looking into the mini now and I have couple of questions. Can I fit a 3 inch pad on the mini or is 4 inch the smallest? Finally, should I get the mini or the nano. I really need to just get one, between both of them it will be 900 bucks or more! FYI - I detail for money at least 5 to 6 times per year.

That's very strange, as he just moved back to Adams! Good luck Dylan, you always did a great job with all of us. You will be missed

I would try a steamer. If it's a tiny spots caused by rubber residue/print the steamer might be your best bet. Also, you can try the machine polisher interior/carpet brush attachment (soft) and leather and interior cleaner. This time apply the leather and interior cleaner by hand and rub it in like if you're spreading hand lotion, leave it for couple of minutes then go at it with a steamer (use the soft brush attachment for best results) or with the carpet brush attached to a polisher

Hot water carpet extraction or steamer
Fierce5 replied to Prestigetouchdetailing's question in Interior Cleaning & Care
Sometimes the cup holder have removable rubber mats so I take them out and wash them separate then I use the steamer for the actual cup holder. For plastic stains I prefer good ol leather and interior cleaner with a towel or an interior brush, a steamer, if not used properly and if left directed at one spot for more than few seconds can ruin your interior. I do use the steamer on door pockets and any place where it's not very accessible by hand/towel. Hope this helps -
I would use APC to remove the bugs and then apply Quick sealant and Buttery.

Polishing aluminum with drill
Fierce5 replied to BluePoncho's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
If it's a new car then the wheels are probably clear coated. In this case you can just apply the same process as polishing paint. -
The steamer is a mytee firebird. Very effective and more than enough for a weekend warrior or the part time detailer.

I start with all purpose cleaner and spray that liberally all over the bay (after covering anything that needs covering). Then I let it sit for few minutes, then I agitate with a brush. Then I use a steamer to sort of pressure wash the bay and to get to the tiny spaces the brush missed and then I rinse with water. Finally, I apply VRT and in and out spray.

Machine polishing over sealant
Fierce5 replied to Michael's question in Paint Correction & Polishing
The sealant is not a coating so it won;t last for years, depending on how long you drive your car the sealant will go away anyways. If you will wash and use the cyclo then you will need to seal again. -
Not sure if this is the right thread but if not please feel free to move elsewhere but I thought I would share some of my engine bays work.
