Couple of weeks ago I got called by the owner of the Saleen I detailed few months back and asked me to detail his track car, a 1989 Ford Mustang with a roll cage and all the bells and whistles to win on the Track.

Car wasn't in a bad shape since it's only driven at the track and very little street time (car is street legal), but the interior needed cleaning and I removed few stains from the passenger's side.

I then took care of the door sills.

Also, both seats needed some love so I vacuumed and cleaned the vinyl sides.

I then went ahead and vaccuumed and cleaned the trunk area and then went ahead and cleaned the side panels.

After I was done with the interior and taking care of the minor defects here and there I moved on to paint correction. It was cold outside and the weather did not  cooperate. Low temperatures meant that I couldn't use the hose to wash the car so I went with a waterless wash using a combination of Detail Spray and Waterless Wash.

After claying the car, I took my 3401 Flex and Adams Paint Correcting Polish and got to work. The video below is a 50/50 testing a 2x2 area for effectiveness.

Now here are some shots of the car completely done.

The hose reels are made by General Pump. I liked them because they were wider rather than too tall, so they fit on the cart better. They have worked well so far.

I really would like to see more power tools/equipments sold and supported. I understand the Buying American principle and I love it and I personally follow it everywhere I can but things like:

Drill brush attachments for leather and carpet cleaning. the Cyclo carpet attachment is a good step but what about leather? Drill polishing bits attachments for wheel polishing, etc. Working by hand gets tiring and annoying, especially if you're detailing for money and have one day to finish a car. I understand that Adams is geared toward enthusiasts and not necessarily professionals but still. For me, when I started getting into detailing and got addicted to it and to Adams I started thinking how to finance my purchases and realized that the obvious answer is to detail for money for friends and family etc. so it's important to have tools that cut time. I'm sure I'm not the only one here with this issue.

    Thanks

I love early Saleen Mustang's and this looks like an incredibly nice, original example. The only thing out of place is the '89+ windshield decal. It should be the same font as the other emblems. A lot of Saleen's got butchered with tasteless modifications over the years or beat to hell. You didn't show the interior but I'd assume it's as nice as the rest of the car. It's a bad deal if the Flo-Fit seats and matching rear seat / door panel upholstery gets worn out because correct replacement material doesn't exist.

Adam, you and your company have my full support and respect as a person and a consumer.

I think a lot of people under-estimate the costs involved with running a company, and especially a small company. People need to realize that you do not have the purchasing power of companies like Mothers and Meguiars, who order 200,000 pads at a time for worldwide sales.

There are very few companies out there who would be willing to divulge their costs to their consumers. That alone earns a great deal of respect from all of us I am sure.

At the end of day, Adams products are more expensive then the competition. However, besides the fact that they ALL work, and work incredibly well, I feel good knowing that the kind of people you employ, are the kind of people I would never hesitate to help in life. I know my money is going to good hard working honest individuals who are trying to live their own lives, raise and take care of their families. It is nice to know my money is not feeding a greedy corporation with a swelled upper management team that is drastically overpaid.

Even as a Canadian I support Americans because to me, Americans are like brothers and sisters to me as a Canadian. We need each other, and our successes feed off of each other, and we push forward for the same rights and ways of life.

Best way for me to apply the leather conditioner is by hand. I rub it on the seats and trim exactly like if you're using a cream on your skin. After that i wipe with a microfiber towel

Yes, the five inch wheels go over stuff much better than the smaller casters.  They roll over cracks and expansion joints in the concrete much better, rolling over cords is a little better but still takes a push, better off keeping the cords out of the way if possible.

This is something I did last week. I received this car the night before and I was really looking forward to it as I wanted to add an Audi to my portfolio. The car only had 30K on the ODO but you can tell that it was used by multiple people with no sign of abuse anywhere. The paint, aside from the scratches and scuff marks all around, was in good shape. The only bad thing was that most of the nooks and crannies were covered/coated with some sort of grease or grime (see the fuel door pictures below) that wouldn't come off by wiping, I had to use chemicals and special pads to remove. Unfortunately and as with most of my full details (interior and exterior), I have to get it done in one day so there was no time for a lot of pictures but here are some before and after pictures:

Emblems are cleaned and scrubbed before washing or polishing to remove all the dirt in the tight areas as the washing mit or polishing pad will simply go over and clean and polish the emblems themselves

A customer of mine bought these seats used for his truck and asked me to detail them before he installs them in his truck. The seats were used and it shows. There were tons of stains on the bench seat and the driver's seat, the passenger seat was in a better shape but not good by all means. Enough with the talking and let's get right to it. This is the passenger seat as I received it.
I started by taping off one of the seats to do a 50/50 for comparison purposes.      And here are the results after cleaning and conditioning half of the seat, pretty dramatic!   After I completed the detail on this seat and the driver's I moved on to do tr bench seat. Here's a before and after.    Before:     Notice the circled stains!     After   And here's a 50/50 for comparison purposes.   Finally, I noticed that the belt receptacles are faded so I decided to restore them by cleaning the inside of the letters where it says "PRESS" and clean and condition the whole receptacle. Here's a before and after.   After   And here's a 50/50 for comparison purposes.
