  1. Thank you sir! Thank you my friend! He's great though, still killin it, fastest supercharged SRT jeep in the world right now, so gotta be good! haha. fun to live vicariously through him since I dont have that cash now haha, I cant imagine adding 1000hp onto my jeep and what is has now hahah.
  2. haha actuallyy, its custom piping cause of the work done to the truck and it has to be a bit to the side for the exhaust to still come out the middle looking stock haha. Tradeoff of HP for a exhaust a inch off haha, all I can say is I wouldnt mind if I was driving it, you guys would hate mine way off, doesnt melt my bumper and still sounds amazing, $1,500 cat back for $300, yeah ill take mine being off a little too haha which is weird cause im hardcore OCD but saving money does strange things to you. Thank you sir!
  3. Thanks alot, she looks great now! I dont have any pics of the motor for now but have a few I had saved: Aluminum block, V-7 YSi supercharger Ill get back to you with more info on that. Thanks a lot, love that pic! means alot coming from a member of the SS family . Thanks! Hahah seemed like it right? All I learned is that many passes on the track and Michigan roads are not nice to our vehicles . After seeing what I was up against I was excited though because I saw what became a beautiful finish. Haha almost right? and actually if I remember correctly the setup is good for more like 1500hp... haha.
  4. Rear pillar knocked Nicer Tail lights polished Rear bumper scratch before Cleaned up a little, but gunna come back to it later, wetsanding most likely needed Fender like deep dark space Passenger side rear, low pressure area throws up all road grime Tape off and all done for now until Michigan weather cooperates for more haha Adams Products used: -Fine Machine Polish -Fine Machine Polish Pad -Single Soft towels (never have too many) -Detail Spray -Glass Cleaner -Glass Sealant -All Purpose Cleaner -Glass Towels -American Pride Extension Cord (multiple, love em) Owner decided to go with a semi-permanent coating that is not Adams but at the time it isn't in the cards, so now she waits for that in a heated garage. Ill be able to put more pictures up later once I get to work on it once it heats up a little, there are more parts of the car that may need wet sanding and more time. And as Jim Morrison would say, she is truly a dusky jewel now! lol Thanks for looking everyone!
  5. Wells boys and girls, recently had the opportunity to work on a friends quite literal beast. This jeep is one many people know of if you are part of most LX or mopar forums, 1000+ HP street-able jeep that breaks necks and cashes checks haha. The jeep has seen a 2 or 3 corrections over its life but last one must have been a bit ago, so when I offered he jumped at the opportunity to get it cleaned up before show car season and track time. For those interested heres some background on it: -Aluminum 426 block -Vortech YSi Supercharger -Complete custom driveline -Paramount Performance trans and T-case -Fastest supercharged GC SRT, ran 9.41 this last summer in the 1/4 Without anymore of me fanboying it, here we go: Inspection: Wash marks it seems Fender under LED and Halogens and Brinkmann Taped up Pillars corrected Driver door under mirror corrected Driver rear door Where gas cap hits paint Tails lookin a little worse for wear Quarter cleaned up Track #'s still on window, unlimited

  9. great help here! that was one of my big problems when I started back in the day haha. Ive been there my man, just listen to the big pro's here
  10. looks good, great work for first customer wet-sanding! no need to be afraid now, it can be your friend but only used when every option is exhausted, and obviously you nailed it nice!
  11. theres only one other company i trust a drying towel from, and that said I only have ONE of theirs as it is much overpriced and I only used it when all my great whites are nasty. That being said, I have 9 Great Whites now hahaha, and next time theres a great deal around I'll add another as Adams knows how to take care of their customers and rotates sales much much better than other companies. Ill tell you one thing, my money spent on Adams quality products that I haven't had to replace had made me much more cash than I have spent, especially never having to replace their products when they fail, cause I have yet had a big failure that wasnt fixed by them. Keep it up guys!
  12. No no no Im not saying simple, not trying to make you simple haha. my bad if it came across like that, I love that it is you too and that alone is going to get you people. Congrats again, I cant wait to see this take off for you and see each step!
  13. First off, congratulations are in order for your coming baby Also congrats on making a huge decision to move into detail with full steam. Your website looks great man, tweaking of work and showing your skills will change as you go and learn what people want. One think I would recommend and what is common in most successful detailers websites is less paragraphs and bulleted points as people tend to want information fast and efficiently. That along with increasing your font size and even though I LOVE the font you have you might want to change it to something easier to read. I know it seems like it will make it look boring but I showed it to another "older person" and one thing was a hard and not easy to read font. Along with complaining of alot of reading to find out what kind of service that will fit their needs. I know mine is very simple and not nearly finished as it started out for only family, but it has gotten me many customers. Wylie Auto Detail Spa - Home Im pumped to see how this goes for you as I have have known you since cherokeesrt8 website so its been a while haha. The only think I believe that you should add into your arsenal is a "permanent" protective coating, none of which I can mention of here as they are non-Adams products and I will respect their rules here in this great community . So far so good Chase, btw charger looks sick as always!

    Family News!

congratulations! great news and let everything go well for you!
  15. agreed, revive and quick sealant is a good route and has taken care of the SRT jambs for a while. Started using a more permanent LSP for them over the last 6 months or so as they don't see as much action as outside surface paints, so still just maintained with waterless wash though, spot on with WW.
  16. thanks chase! hope the SHO is holding up good for ya! For sure, that is tempting, interested either way you go! haha it did feel like ever, was like digging deep for that diamond haha.
  17. Thanks a lot! Paint I used us called Krylon Fusion, I used the Satin variety to get that look with plenty of coats. The best part about this paint is it binds chemically with plastics so on the can and the company even says you dont have to prep it for that reason. But I just couldnt get that out of my head from all my paint prep work ive done so all I did was rough up the plastic with 1500 grit wet/dry sandpaper and after that wiped down with IPA and then went ahead with the painting. Id say your rubbie needs the exact same treatment and would look awesome in the end if you did what I did. Incase you wanna do it heres what you need: Krylon Fusion Satin Spray paint - $4.75 a can I used 5 for all moldings 3M Wet dry sandpaper - $5 at auto zone (already had them from other details) Painters plastic - $10 (home depot, or just use newspaper) Detail tape - you probably already have from details Isopropyl Alcohol - $1 at target Total : $39.75 I wrapped the whole car and I'm glad I did now cause after seeing my garage this spray paint had a lot of overspray, more than usual spray paint even. But hey for under 50 bucks. -wash -sand plastics with 1500 grit -IPA wipe down -look for missed spots -IPA wipe missed -Tape off/cover -Spray about 4-5 coats it took for mine to lay flat -Let sit overnight, take off tape and covers -Sit back and enjoy Super easy and a great way to change the look of a car fast. Better post up if you do it, love to see a rubbie with it done.
  18. if not properly diluted it may freeze though right? haha
  19. very nice! my girlfriends cousin thats an engineer for Ford just picked one up, think ill be detailing it soon for him as I saw defects from the factory, once i have time. Looks like fun for you guys though love the red/black combo of the two, and the plastidipped rims are a nice addition!
  20. Gunna get a good amount of it back hopefully here soon! thanks! Thanks alot! it needed the kick in the pants I gave it I guess haha. And the outlaws loved it haha , her dad said he had to do a double take in the morning and call me cause he got home when it was dark and couldnt really see it.
  21. Haha I'd love to, doing full projects like this is fun, seeing that final turnaround is awesome.
  22. I hope so! thanks! Thank you good sir! Thanks! yeah, already getting alot of action on it! very happy now that I did that. The paint used was Krylon Fusion spray paint. It s new formulation specifically for plastics, and from what everyone has said no prep is necessary, even though I did to make double sure. I love the way it finished down, plenty of coats and 5 cans later it turned out well.
  23. Glad I could help, like I said though, take time and enjoy it. I had a chance to take of the the GT-R's I did for a close friend and beat on it on the road, a blast to say the least! beautiful car, have fun! Well it doesnt say warning but its minds well since they even put the sticker haha. Youll find em on Infiniti's too, some of them.
  24. thats when it gets sketchy, people have asked went to nissan and asked them if the GT-R had the self healing technology and they have said no and at other times said yes. And the way the paint reacts is a sign that it is indeed "self healing", in which that means that normal heating does not work as it does with most other paints. In this case heating panels up in the end may look good for the day, but after a day it looks like crap again, sometimes even worse for some people. A way to think of it is kind of like those self closing archery markers and how they close up after the arrow is pulled out, obviously not the same thing but thats the idea. So from my knowledge there are GT-R's which do not have the "self healing" paint and have only Nissans notoriously hard clear, and if it has that hard clear you will find a sticker under the hood which says "warning hard clear". And if it does have the self healing the paint will be much softer, and from what I've heard from talking to other detailers is that PTG readings on some cars have shown that they laid it very thin of some cars, I'm sure with the self healing clear in mind. Sorry to throw a million things at you at once but just wanted to share what knowledge I have. In the end, have fun with it, its a beautiful car
