  1. Know this is machine polishing but actually the last two were used with a machine so it counts haha. Got much more ill post though, new computer.
  2. clean lookin dub man. what % you have on the windshield? you didnt do 20% all around did you?
  3. hence my answer . Thats what I figured, especially with VRT, seems like a slick surface to spray a LSP. +1 for the day for me. haha
  4. I would think after or keep them mutually exclusive and use one or the other. Personally have never used one over the other. Sub'd to hear what the consensus is. good Q!
  5. Do this all the time for the shops Americana. Works so well, bring it home for the night, cook it up, put it in the freezer, and nice even Americana in the morning haha.
  6. Hey, just started clearing out space for a new rotary and the PC seems to be taking up space as of now. Again , something I'm not in a rush to get rid of but want someone who is new to benefit from this. I take care of this thing like a baby and gets kept inside so no "creepy-crawlys" can get inside. Also kept in a case haha. Anyways its been used for under 15 corrections I'd say, so time wise it is a very new machine. Will include Adams backing plate and PC tool. I have no pictures as I am away from home now but will put some up as soon as I get back. **Update** Anyways there is alot included in this bundle but like I said my loss is someone news gain. And if I could I would include polishes but per forum rules this is not allowed, so all you need along with my lot is the set of polishes that Adams offers in a great bundle at a competitive price when bought together. The pictures below show how great everything was kept, and like I said above everything was cared for greatly and correctly according to Adams guidelines. Included: -Porter Cable Machine -Spindle changing tool -Adams 6" Backing Plate -Adams 4" Backing Plate -Gen 3 Hex Face Severe Swirl Pad (x2) -Gen 3 Hex Face Swirl & Haze Remover Pad (x2) -Gen 3 Hex Face Fine Machine Polish Pad (x2) -Gen 3 Hex Face Machine Super Sealant Pad (x2) -Gen 3 4" Hex Face Severe Swirl Pad (x2) -Gen 3 4" Hex Face Swirl and Haze Remover Pad (x2) -Gen 3 4" Hex Face Fine Machine Polish Pad (x2) So altogether 14 Pads, 2 backing plates and a PC and PC tool. As you can see the 6" Machine Super Sealant pads are new, and the one Fine Machine Polish Pad is new as well. A great deal for someone looking to start a correction stage on their car and learn how to polish properly with the Adams product line. Looking back all this product with everything said and done cost me over $300 easily. Asking $150+ Shipping. Any questions don't be afraid to ask. If you are local and would like me to help you with it and give you a few pointers that would probably work out too (I professionally detail for my daily job). Thanks for looking everyone, have a great rest of your weekend!
  7. no problem, sorry. never seen a forum where you cant bump, honest mistake. hopefully they are sold to chase anyways haha
  8. I've never heard of 0000 grade steel wool hurting windows. Unless you turn and use it on tint on accident inside (ive done it) haha. More problems come from using improper chemicals on glass, then if they fall down the glass and into the crack more problems can arise. I use steel wool every day on the ferrari's, as long as its 0000 then youll have no problem, screw up and accidentally use 000 and thats a different story. Im with the "least aggressive method" method haha. glass cleaner>clay>vinegar w/newspapaer>vinegar w/steel wool> denatured alcohol (cause always works for me). good call again mook on the denatured alcohol, learned that from the family friends that do residential windows too . my method goes mostly on the least expensive to most expensive too, so that works as well haha Another positive for 0000 steel wool I forgot is for overspray, works wonders for those who dont know that, just dont start rubbing it on the paint haha
  9. im on the other side, wet sanding on ferrari's make the learning curve go fast haha. So i got wet sanding down out of pure fear haha. Right now though I would say working with pneumatic rotary, idk what is is but its been messing with me lately. That and watching pad angles in small places like 430 air inlets and sharp curved places. btw GREAT thread idea, not something i would of thought of. forgot to add I am weak at only doing the certain things people pay for, I usually way overwork everything from my OCD haha.
  10. very nice! I love my black jeep but seeing the new Alpine addition in white like yours it makes me second guess. Welcome "non"-new matt haha
  11. Hey guys, just lately since working at the shop I havent had too much time to do work by myself so I have a few pads I minds well let someone else use instead of just sitting at home in my closet. Pretty straight forward and ill try to add pics but these are pretty much all new: New in bag: 2-Green 1-Orange 1-White $10 each Used through 1 detail and cleaned immediately after, some pads only used on one panel even while I tried different combos with my rotary, haha so in essence new. 1-Green 2-Orange 2-White $7 each For those not sure about the flat pads since the gen 4 pads have been introduced, they work just fine and in my mind are actually easier to use with a definite edge and flat surface. I just simply don't have time for personally detailing and my other set of pads will cover me for now. Just a feeler, not problem if people dont want them, no rush to get rid of them so no deals unless buying a bulk of them. Have a good week people!
  12. like people have said, its really something you just pick up from tips and tricks and playing around with it yourself and figuring out how and when to go out to places. Best thing is a great DSLR though, one can be picked up for fairly cheap and will help immensely. In college I would have time to jump around at night so i got alotta practice, practice makes perfect man! HDR on this one is over the top but the comp is pretty cool
  13. great day nick, despite the weather still was awesome! and sad new on that better, ended up not being a turbo vetter either, was supercharged when i saw it in the shop today haha.
