  1. What protection, if any, do you have on under the guard and gloss?
  2. Triple 000 steel wool works perfect for removing burnt pants and burnt shoe marks.
  3. This was the newer 'Liquid Paint Sealant' on which the label reads 1 hour cure time before layering. I also still have a pretty full bottle of Machine Super Sealant that directs for 24 hours of cure time. This stuff lasts so long and takes so little to cover the vehicle that it would take me several years to use a full bottle. I don't see any negative effects yet. I'm planning to put a layer of wax on it tonight.
  4. Just working away in the garage and I applied Liquid Paint Sealant to the entire car, wiped it off, and without thinking grabbed the Brilliant Glaze and layered it on. Forgot all about the cure time for the paint sealant. Took maybe 15 minutes to apply to the entire car, then another 10-15 minutes to wipe it off. So it probably had 30 minutes tops cure time before being layered with glaze.
  5. Hey Mark, I've used a Truxedo Truxport on my last two trucks, and they've worked well for me. This is a soft roll up cover that simply clamps on to the bed rails with no damage left behind if removed. I use a soft roll up so have full use of the bed without removing the cover when I haul motorcycles and 4 wheelers. You can check it out at truxedo.com
  6. Hey Rich, to what winery do you refer?
  7. Nice job. The dark windows look so great on that car.
  8. We're in the beginning stages of planning a summer family vacation to the mid-west this summer. Looking for your tips and suggestions. What to see, what to do, where to fly in/out, etc. Kids are 13, 15, and 17. Thought about flying into Denver and trekking out from there. Some things on the list of possibilities already are Pikes Peak, Grand Canyon, Mt Rushmore, and Yellowstone. Planning to spend about two weeks. Thanks!
  9. Sweeeet ride! Looks great! Does the tire shine offer any SPF like VRT did?
  10. Nice job on the car. Sounds like your starting out with a great place - congrats!!
  11. Very nice work. What a great garage!!
  12. Can't believe I'm going to ask this, but what do you use the "Nut Blast" for? BTW, Nice job on the company car Dave! Do I spy the Magnum on the street? Wasn't that your previous company car?
  13. Did you clay? I'm working with a similar black trailer. 2006 Carmate, dull and oxidized. I can't get paint correcting polish or paint finishing polish to leave a clean shiny finish. It seems almost like both have too much cut or something and I keep getting uneven results after wiping the polish off - which is incredibly difficult by the way. Just wants to smear. Would love to hear any suggestions you could give me. I called CarMate and they tell me the trailer has .030 aluminum sheets that they get in a roll with baked on enamel already applied. They suggested a polish with no cutting ability since the enamel is so thin.
  14. I just picked up a 2006 8x20 CarMate enclosed car trailer. The trailer is black and has sat in the owners yard untouched since he purchased it new. It is slightly dull and oxidized. I've washed a panel and tried some small areas with Revive Polish, and Paint Correcting Polish. Both brighten the black up, but neither wipe completely clean. The black just has some un-eveness to it. I know the color is adhered uniquely to the panels when they are made and that it is very thin so I don't want to get too aggressive. Any tips to bring out a nice gloss on this thing?
  15. Looks like a great turn out, and an awesome event. Wish I could have been there with you guys, but family took priority. My kids are growing up too fast!!
  16. Awesome work once again Jimmy. Thanks for sharing!
  17. WOW! Amazing turn around Jimmy. No sandpaper?
  18. Great job Sam! Half way through the battle, our house was convinced she was the winner. Like mentioned before, a lot of great artists went home unfortunately. I think the coaches have had some extremely tough choices to make.
