  1. You might consider keep the PC and dedicate it to focus duty.
  2. Nice job Chris. I keep my focus setup on the PC. I haven't ventured into using with a drill... yet. In your opinion, could you have done that correction with focus pads on the PC, or is the additional forced rotation of the drill necessary? I'm sure the the process was much faster with the drill.
  3. Mike! The essentials kit is certainly a great place to start... if your shoestring is long enough. You won't be disappointed!
  4. "Wow" works just fine . What a great one word summary! Congrats!
  5. Welcome Andrew! That thing got a Duramax?
  6. John - I love how it turned out. Congrats! Hope I get to see it in person if I can make it to the Thompson clinic!
  7. That right there is making me . Welcome to Adam's Frank!
  8. The truck looks great. II have an 07 classic body Silverado in greystone metallic, and I've always been a chrome wheel man, but some of the black wheeled trucks I've seen lately are growing on me. Yours is no exception!
  9. TBSS Looks great! Also love how there's nothing holding the nose of that bird up.
  10. Nice. I see you had no need for windshield wipers on that one!
  11. In & Out would probably be what I would go to for your situation. It would be easiest in terms of application if it gives you the look you want.
  12. That right there can be the most rewarding and revealing - recovering paint from years of use with little maintenance! Great work Derek!
  13. Nice job Dave! When I read 'tree branch', I thought you were going to be visiting the body shop! I'm so ready for this wind we've had lately to go away.
  14. Correct, you do it after polishing to ensure any remaining polishing oils are lifted and do not affect the application/adhesion of your sealant.
  15. In the newer systems with DEF, the DEF is used to generate the high heat necessary to burn out the particulate filter. In the earlier particulate filter systems, at least with the GM's, diesel was injected and burnt in the exhaust post turbo to generate the the heat needed to burn out the filter. The urea is just supposed to be an improvement over that original design.
  16. Yeah, you do not want to spill DEF on anything - especially bare metals. If you do, you'll want to wash away with water before being allowed to dry. DEF is basically urea, and is corrosive for many metals including carbon steel, copper, aluminum, and zinc.
  17. Congrats Rich. I know the late season snows have resulted in some extra salt down in PA this spring.
