  1. I do this as a side job most weekends, not all, but most. And most of the time once we get into talking about what that person truly wants..we end up doing a full correction. I've been told I'm cheap and don't cost much..but hey this IS fun for me after all (don't tell anyone that cause I'd probably do it for free anyways!). As far as prices are concerned here's my thing immediate and close family is free, don't care what it is, its free regardless. I'm also not in the car washing business..IMO that's not detailing thats MAINTENANCE, and I'm not your maid, wash your own damn car lol!! Friends extended family depends on condition, what they want etc. For a regular customer its BASE $200 for a car and BASE $300 for an SUV or Truck. That includes wash, clay, polish, and wax or sealant. Interior is $30-40 more and I usually throw in the engine at no cost, obviously tire and trim is included as well....as I said I've been told I'm cheap..I know I'm cheap..this is what I do for fun and while I have a full correction or close to it almost every weekend I still consider myself "starting out" business wise that is. Keep that in mind as well, you can't charge top dollar for something you have no "cred" on. And personally I am JUST GETTING STARTED, READY TO SET IT ON FIRE!!! But there's still SO MUCH to learn. Let your work speak for itself, I'll tell you there's no greater feeling than seeing that look of astonishment on the owners face, that's by far the best part!
  2. I have the same issue, do does Chase (srtluvr), I just jack the car up a bit and problem solved I'd imagine he does the same
  3. Sadly..I have to admit to throwing the car on stands and doing the entire undercarriage LOL! The whole time I was thinking "I am never gonna see this..just stop...mmm smells like grapico..no don't get sucked into doing, put the bottle DOWN...DANG that looks good!" and so on till the whole thing was done..maybe my mechanic will appreciate it
  4. I'll play Chase.. IS300: Gloss black roof, Audio upgrade, re-do some of the factory suede on the drivers seat. Merc Van (daily driver): Tires.....lol!! They are BADLY dry rotted! Bike: Pull the motor (AGAIN for the 6th time!!) but just for paint this time Then its getting SOLD one way or the other! Money from bike: going towards MG Midget, Alfa spyder, or older Bug...and all future car funds will be dedicated to restoring/modding one of those
  5. Sorry I couldn't quote everyone I'm on the iPhone posting this...yeah Chase ya missed out man! But next time ya gotta join! Len thanks again for hanging and the conversation it was good meeting you! Morris good meeting you as well! Again KILLER job on your headlights!! I would've liked to have you get some "hands on with Adams products" but we were trying to bust through that car you saw how swirled it was!! But you'll get to experience it on your own now I'm sure you'll love it super easy and ya got a fantastic base to build off of! I'll post pics of the the G35 tomorrow too tired to upload them tonight after finishing that thing and watching the UFC fights! My buddy left around 5 so I had to break for dinner and wait for the fights to be over before putting some sealant on it but WOW it turned out AMAZING!! Even in those 1000 watt lights so I'm sure in the sun it will be astonishing! Pics to come! Keep y'all posted on it! Again great meeting you two! And Morris since you're so close if ya ever want any help with anything if be glad to pitch in no cost no worries I just like doing it later guys!!
  6. Oh and bring sodas if you want...I have none..Only drink OJ, Pineapple juice and water.. sorry
  7. Really good package Len!! Looking forward to meeting you as well! LOL!! I'm not even married and I've experienced every "project" sentence beginning with the "We" but so so rarely does it end with the "We" It's all good though just a fact of life and the price we pay for having such lovely ladies And FYI I have burgers for everyones lunch tomorrow even your son Len so bring it on!! I'm excited!
  8. As you SHOULD wait to see its wonders in person!! SVRT is THE product that got me into Adams, not the first Adams product I bought BUT for me it was the one that pushed me over the edge and made me a fanatic! I've ALWAYS been into cars, bikes, classics anything with a motor! My first picture I drew for my mom when I was a little kid (the first one I can remember anyways) was a drag car...I had always liked cleaning cars but I never liked detailing to be honest, even after I got a PC, mainly because I never got the REAL results worth my effort and time. I contribute this to just an "ok" product and just an "ok" technique. That said I now LOVE LOVE LOVE detailing!! The product is AMAZING and yields REAL results...not just one product but EVERY SINGLE PRODUCT ADAMS OFFERS and through Junkmans vids and others knowledge and writeups on this forum I'm tackling detailing side jobs I never would've done otherwise!! The products WORK and the techniques WORK and everyone is SUPER courteous and helpful!! I can't stress that enough! I've since gotten and used all but a very few of what Adams has to offer, mainly the boars hair and fender brushes thats all I've YET to use and I'm almost blown away every single time! All in all SVRT will probably always be my "miracle in a bottle" product that I'll always have a special place for in my detailing heart because it requires SUCH minimal effort to see SUCH dramatic differences As I said though if you're able check it, and the other products out, IN PERSON! I'm sure you will be hooked! Morris, if you, Chase, and Len can't hook up one day this week I'm in Hoover about 15 mins from you at tops and I will be doing a full paint correction as well as an interior and engine detail on a black G35 coupe on Saturday you are MORE than welcome to join and come see what its all about! I'm starting the 2 bucket wash around 9am and we're supposed to have great weather! So if it doesn't work out for ya'll to hook it up and you get a demo I'm MORE THAN WILLING to show you and give ya a "hands on PC with Adams polishes" in person so you can decide for yourself PM me and I'll send you my number if you're interested man!
  9. Welcome to Adams products Morris!! If all of ya'lls schedules allow it and you, Chase and Len can get together man I'd highly recommend it! Between those guys there's a HUGE amount of helpful information and know how and I agree with an earlier post you're gonna want that gallon of SVRT for all that side molding but you're gonna LOVE it!
  10. After work today I rode over to my moms where my Christmas present from my dad was waiting on me!! Brand new Husky rolling tool box as well as the topper I've ALWAYS wanted a rolling toolbox and am so thankful I finally got one! Soon as I got home took them out of the boxes, set those bad boys up and started filling em!! Now I have an extra self and a half to the side of it for more gallon refills Hope everyone else had a GREAT Christmas!!
  11. and to Dylan@adams I'm with you bud!!! Think thats my favorite out of the pics I've seen that thing is SICK!! Always ALWAYS LOVED that car!!
