  1. I really enjoyed it. It was less fun since my friend knew all the tracks and was asking me about them. He did get a good kick out of my reply of "I don't know, MotoGP doesn't race there." It's built like all great auto movies (Senna, Fastest) where the story line only has racing in the background of a good plot. Two ladies went with us and they both enjoyed it almost as the guys did.
  2. Haven't tried the new yet. I'm still convinced the old one was pink lemonade.
  3. My off day!!! Only one this week.

  5. I thought so too. My new CBR250R is 75 a year. A 2004 CBR600RR is actually the same. Pretty stoked on that! A 2010 CBR600RR would be 86/year. Granted I wouldn't put liability on a bike that new and expensive. Full coverage, middle of the line plan, would run $1560 a year! Top of the line is $2293! 3k a year on insurance on a bike that cost around 11k. Edit: Checked a 2005 CBR1000RR...110.00 a year on the true SS.
  6. Did you shop around or just go through your car insurance? I insure my car through geico and saved 8 bucks a month and it was still 25 a month. Checked progressive online and it was 75/yr for the same coverage. I might could have done more looking and gone even cheaper, but I wanted something reputable. Just to say as to what a difference it is with questions they ask online. Im 23, no tickets within 5 years, no wrecks, no motorcycle experience, and no msg course (changing that soon). I'll price out the 600 I was looking at to see how it compares. I imagine about 170 a year.
  7. Bought a 2011 CBR 250R sunday. Been riding the snot out of it. Super fun little bike. Being as safe as possible, but I'm still a newb so I'm waiting until traffic is low to practice. Insurance: 75 bucks a year! Can't beat that, along with it's 70mpg.
  8. Fedex averages a dollar per pound, and then you're responsible for the box. You can make it look like a coffin and they will still take it. I shipped an exhaust this morning and it was three boxes opened up and stuck over each other then taped. Looked horrible.
  9. Anthony, You need to pick up some La coste. I've had the same bottle for like 3 years and hardly use it, but it's a panty dropper. I found this stuff called Faconnable at TJmaxx. It was pretty amazing. Nice clean smell with a slight citrus after smell. If you see it out, it's cheap and worth the pick up. Haven't found a girl yet who didn't like it. It's really weird when a guy asks what cologne you wear. (no homo) Paul, Dove soap just doesn't cut it on the smell good department for me (only one I like from a few I'm not allergic to). I don't smell bad, but that little extra is worth having on.
  10. Working on killing a bottle of Guess at the moment. Probably gonna go back to Crush.
  11. We really do need a gun sub forum. I am a huge fan of Glocks. 19 is my favorite CCW. 15+1 of hornady critical defense. I've shot quite a few XD's and they were good pistols as well. For me, I am more accurate with a Glock. I hope I don't step on any toes, but the S&W Sigma line is total crap. It comes from a good price point, but shoots horribly. As for cleaning your weapons thoroughly youtube a trigger job for whatever you own and it will walk you through the entire disassembly of most weapons. I've used break free or hoppes for a number of years and like them both, but I'm looking up the other recommended stuff when I get finished with this. I wouldn't try Adams products on the inside of a weapon. Solvents designed for the caked on residue will do a better job. As for the AR... Remember that you will have (probably) a few 30 round mags and those are 15 bucks a piece to fill. If it's a target gun look at the .22 versions. If it's a hunting gun be sure to check out the AR15 (.308) versions. Been deciding if that will be my next firearm purchase of not. I can't afford to feed a AR, my only compaint with them. Also, if budget allows check out the piston driven ARs. Springfield has just re-released the M1A which is pretty cool.
  12. What did I do today on this glorious off day? Not a dang thing! It was beautiful! Back to the job tomorrow though.
  13. I've put countless rounds through a G19. My favorite gun of all time. With a ton of practice you can drive nails with it. Just picked up a SR22 to accompany my 22/45. Put about 300 rounds through it today. I think it's a keeper.
  14. 106 today in north bama. Sucks...no other way to put it. Customers are grumpy, I'm grumpy. It has been eventful for sure.
  15. I just want something that's fun to ride around on,and get good gas milage. I've learned my lesson with racing cars; I definitely don't care to try it on a bike. Be much easier to get to and from school on the same amount of gas id use to just get there in my car. No jackassery will be done by me on a bike.
  16. Spent my off day goofing off, looking at bikes. I'm so jealous of the guy who just got the red CBR. I'm looking at a 2002 white one, but the guy won't get back to me. I've wanted a bike for a really long time, when I could afford one I didn't buy it and now I'm kicking myself. Debating selling some other toys and finally buying. I haven't been on in a few days, but I picked up a 22/45 ruger pistol a few weeks ago and I'm shooting the snot out of it. I also have a mean little .22 bolt with a Nikon 3x9-50 scope and an allen bipod on it. My own little trigger mods. It's a fun shooter and looks too silly to be real. To the guy who asked. I'll take some pics soon.
  17. Put about 450 rounds through my .22 today. Love that thing!

    Good cop, bad cop

I am not fighting for the officer in any way. I still 110% my first post that he should be suspended. However, an officer has to demand his authority within a situation. If the biker was with a group of people with a large amount of drugs then I do see reasonable cause to pull him over. Arresting him was wrong without question in any case and an abuse of power. As was taking his camera. But if you look at it from a different perspective; maybe the cop just over stepped his bounds in a group his was severely outnumbered by to retrieve drugs from getting any further. Be it resold or used by the riders before going out and potentially hurting someone. We have no way of knowing what the cop was really thinking, but I'd like to think it was to protect society. I have a major problem with drugs, just don't like them at all, and so do most of the officers I know. I think my point of view is that I'm a little less outraged thinking the officer was trying to stop drugs over my initial infatuation that he's breaking more than one civil right just to catch some people speeding on motorcycles.
  19. Welcome! Waterless wash will probably lift dirt a little more safely then quick detailer. (can't remember Meguiars new waterless wash name) If you mean Adams detail spray/any other detail spray then use waterless wash its safer. I haven't tried anything from Adams I haven't liked. Their polishes for machines are the best I've used, but I'm still new to the game. Machine sealant works great! Brilliant glaze adds a field of depth that is nothing but awesome.

    Good cop, bad cop

Dash cam paints a different picture... In my eyes anyways.
  21. I wrote out three responses to this, probably over 1000 words...all to get to the point This infuriates me to a level I didn't know I could be at! As mean as it is, I hope at least one of these kids gets physically broken down and emotionally slaughtered as an adult. They can cry sorry to mom and dad, but unless they know what it feels like they will never understand. I bet that lady was cool as double hockey sticks and had stories these kids would have loved to have heard if they would have just sat down and talked to her like a human.

    Good cop, bad cop

I hope the first two officers are suspended. guy went wrong when he did not immediately request a superior officer on scene before handing over his license. The officer is supposed to control the situation but he is abusing it. different perspective, and gives the officers a little more credibility, but what was done is still an obvious violation of the biker pulled overs rights unless he edited the tape.
