  1. Like the new wheels Len! Charger looks awesome! Worked Saturday, so busy I didn't even see your post and the P-M show until yesterday night around midnight.
  2. I'm gonna borrow the slogan that the company I work for uses. Len sells customer service, he just happens to have Adams products.
  3. There are multiple techniques that apply more to rotary than the PC, but one uses high pressure low speed to cut then light pressure high speed to finish which from reading and seeing after pics looks to work well with the PC. I use a mix of junkman and Adams style. Barely spinning and one second per inch on speed 5.
  4. I think I move mine before it is totally cool and it upsets the filament. I use gloves to install. Walmart quality....
  5. Better have bought quite a few extra bulbs. Mine shoot every time I use the thing.
  6. http://www.adamsforums.com/forums/waxing-glazing-sealing/15055.htm I think that will answer your questions. Not sure if it's mentioned on there, but BG will wash off if wax is not applied over the top so look into that. If you daily the car then don't sweat orange peel. Most cars seem to have it and to cut it you'll be removing valuable clear coat that daily cars need so you can polish on them without hitting paint.
  7. Supposedly 96 here tomorrow IIRC. Was 92 today and every bit of it. I was steaming with the AC full blast!
  8. All purpose cleaner would probably make your life easier than a few hours and gallons of glass cleaner. That is totally disgusting. Luckily, you can't see in. I bet the interior is trashed.

    First DSLR

Canon T3i. Cost effective, comes with a decent lens, and capable of HD video. Easy to use, full of features that allow you to be creative once you're familiar with the system. If you only want photos without video look into used 1000d. I have some photos in the lounge using one. Had it about 4 years and still shooting great! If you think you will get serious with trying to capture everything and prefer a great picture to tell a story instead of a picture to remember an event, look into Nikon. (unless you want video, then canon only) Lenses are much cheaper and camera bodies are comparable.
  10. I have a few. I have the F&F eclipse and civic posted in the ops pics. I have a RX7 Spirit R and a S2000 I wanna take the time to paint. Cool hobby.
  11. Not feeling the tan top... Other than that fact, the car looks great. After shots look like someone just drove it home off the lot.
  12. Check this out! Hopefully he is a better mechanic that writer. RAY'S Mobile Auto Mechanic mechanic auto detailing Third edit, they are getting better! Auto Detailing
  13. Tape a 2x2 area. get it perfect and from that point determine how long you'll be spending on the car. Benz have pretty hard clear. If you haven't checked it out yet take a look at the (lengthy) junkman slow cut method. I think it will be the most informative to your particular situation. I just realized you said scratches and artifacts in your first post. Can you feel the scratches with you nail? Can you be more specific with artifacts?
  14. From your description it sounds like you are using improper technique to me(pretty novice though). Did you watch junkmans speed of movement videos? You are probably trying to do the work instead of letting the machine work for you. The PC shouldn't be jumping around at all. Are you using the handle? Might have it tilted causing it to jump. The 4 inch pads will take forever to work any amount of large area and I suspect they could do more harm than good since they heat up quickly and are harder to control. Watch more videos and check to see if there are any dealers/detail clinics in your area for more info! Welcome to the forum! :hello: Hopefully you can get the VW back in tip top shape. I did part of the GFs Volvo with S&H and it was noticeably different with only one section pass. (also super hard clear)

    I need a job

I live close to the Red Stone Arsenal, Had a buddy who was a military kid. His dad was a fire arms instructor in the core, got a job here in Bama with his previous experience. Really did well for himself until the issues involved with coping from PTSD kicked in. I have another friend who is contracted by them, and the first guy's son is trying to get a job out there. He was recommended to USAJOBS - Veterans This is US wide so you can narrow the search.
  16. I found these beautiful pieces of ingenuity. amazing!
  17. Never seen a 69 firebird before. I love it though! Gorgeous car.
  18. Looks so much better! great job Len. Let us know the customers reactions!
  19. Yes, I would just drape the cord over your shoulder like the PC/flex cable you seen in the videos. Corded drill is actually stronger in most cases and you won't have to worry about the battery dying. Just be sure to watch the original version 6 DVD on how to use it with revelation to heat and stuff.
  20. I got some 2 weeks ago and have only done my trunk where the PC wouldn't get and two sets of head lights. I keep my head lamps really clean (wet sanded them, chemically restored them, and then sealed them) I decided to just give it a shot. They went from looking great to looking brand new! My car is filthy right now and we just (today) got a new driveway poured so it will be saturday/sunday until I can get the car up and wash it but I'll try to remember and post pictures.
  21. Way to beat me to mooching for goods Jas. Do some photo comparisons for us.
  22. Even for 90K I would rather change to a bigger city. My offer would be nothing short of an insult.
