  1. I hope they give it a name and make SS a trim level, but I don't care as long as it has a manual trans and 400 hp.
  2. Thanks. I'm surprised I missed it since it was just last week.
  3. I saw that episode of Gearz. This car seems very well engineered; a long way from "kit cars" back in the day when everything was built on a VW Beetle or Pontiac Fiero chassis. And while the $100k scenario is a lot of money, it will certainly give performance of cars costing much more, plus the satisfaction of doing much of the work yourself, and it will be even more exclusive than a Ferrari, etc.
  4. I've seen "3 bucket wash" mentioned several times, but a quick search didn't really give an explanation. What's the extra bucket for?
  5. Nice ride! I'm trying to stay on top of mine but I haven't clayed/waxed it yet. It's hard enough to find time for a "proper" wash!
  6. I remember being amazed the first time I did a 2 bucket wash. I used to think I was ok because I sprayed out the wash mitt between panels. But seeing all the dirt that was left in the 2nd bucket really surprised me.
  7. The first time I used Detail Spray as part of the drying process on my truck, it killed half a bottle. I ordered a gallon jug that day.
  8. There is definitely a learning curve for applying the SVRT. I had some streaking on my tailgate from where I apparently put too much on the plastic cap and then it rained a day or two later. I also have trouble sometimes telling how much product I'm using. I don't know if it's the applicator (sponge block) or what...maybe I need to use more direct light. But I haven't noticed any streaking on other areas of trim I've done, so I just need to try to be more consistent with my application.
  9. So how's it look now? Do you do the 1:1 spray mix of SVRT to get between the blocks of tread?
  10. I've also been impressed with how well SVRT holds up. Do yall apply it every time you wash or maybe every other?
  11. What do you use them for? My SS gets pink from the detail spray.
  12. Beauty! My Dad has a red 06 that I'll probably give the Adams treatment later this year. It gives me another reason to borrow it.
  13. It's not my first, so I know what I'm getting into. Black daily drivers are tough because they show all those "mystery scratches" you pick up out in the world, but I would argue that they're even more rewarding than other colors when you can keep it looking good. My biggest worry now is how to keep my Adams obsession in check. The folks on this forum look to be the worst support group ever...
  14. I happened across a thread on GMFS (www.gmfullsize.com) raving about Super VRT and Dylan had set up a group purchase. I wasn't familiar with the brand, so I did some research and watched all the videos on the Adams website. I was too late for the GP, but the forum discount is nice.
  15. Longtime clean freak but new to Adams. Just got another black vehicle (what's wrong with me?), and I want to stay ahead of the game in maintaining its finish. I've used clay, carnauba, and quality fabrics for a while, but I plan to step up to a machine polisher and products such as sealer and glaze. I've found the videos on the Adams site very informative, but I still have a lot to learn, so thanks in advance.
