  1. Thanks Charlie for the info. I do have 3 cars and a house...how did you know? LOL I chose these models because they do have the Honda engines though not the cat pump you mentioned. Unfortunately, $8xx is out of my price range. The cost of these are $337 & $389, I feel very priced right and with all the Adam's product I've been buying is all I can afford. So, 2600 or 3100?
  2. 2600 PSI is 2.3 GPM 3100 PSI is 2.6 GPM Both come with 4 different tips for spray patterns...thanks for the input.
  3. I'm in the process of shopping pressure washers and think I've narrowed it down to the Simpson Megashot 2600 or 3100. I'm sure I'll use it for many things but primarily I want it to enhance my car washing experience...is the 3100 too much? The price difference is minimal.
  4. Resistance is futile! Dosn't matter where you start... you will soon have it all.
  5. What is the difference between the Americana red wax applicator and the yellow wax applicator? I have 2 reds and looking for another applicator so I can use one for each… sealant / wax / glaze Rather then sharpie another red I thought to use the yellow for one of the above products. Thoughts? Thx
  6. I too have had extremely good customer service from Adam's and yes it is very satisfying to say the least.
  7. To work in my engine compartment I literally have to lay on the fenders and nose... I'm curious what you guys/girls use to protect the "corrected" paint surfaces while doing work. The standard fender covers I've seen don't give me that warm and cozy feeling. Any suggestions?
  8. It's everywhere...yesterday I took my wife to test drive a new Audi and through casual conversation the salesman directed me to a Porsche GT they had across the street at their sister dealership. First time I saw this car in person and it is AWESOME! Really a work of art. But as you would guess, it had tons of swirl marks and other indications it wasn't washed using the 2 bucket rule. Seeing it this way caused me physical pain... I would have offered a free detailing if I thought the owner would care... I did hang an Adam's double soft out the window hoping the GT would follow me home...no such luck. LOL
  9. A WIN WIN...The gift of giving (good karma) and your buddy will hopefully get "hooked" and appreciate your genorosity years later when his car is still looking sweet. Good move IMHO!
  10. Do you really want to massage your beautiful car with the same piece of cloth your friend used to dry his boys? Just a thought...LOL
  11. No offense but I agree with Mook...why would you even waste your time posting that? It obviously was not intentional. ONCE out of many orders something was missing when I opened the box. A simple 2 min phone call and Ashley had it to me by the next day. Adam's customer service is almost better than their products...almost.
  12. Thanks but it wasn't mine...got it in the "tips & tricks" section... and it works great. I thoroughly wash the used pads, squeeze out as much water as possible, hang them on the modified clothes pins until dry and stack them on the wire shelf. PERFECT. Thank you.
  13. I'm just proud that I started to finally clean and organize my garage! I painted and hung an old cabinet I thought would be perfect for my Adam's products. I built some shelf brackets (I'm not a carpenter so please be kind) to install wire shelves and hung my brushes and such on the masonary. It's been a nightmare of a mess for quite some time and I'm happy to have it looking neat. Side note: Some old product lines still in use... I have been transitioning to all Adams but work in progress. I've learned my lesson with cheaper products...enough said. Oh yea and my 10 year-old son helped!
  14. Looks like I have to order another at least...LOL Thanks to all!
  15. Can I use Adam's Americana Premium Wax & Glaze Applicator to apply Adam's Quick Sealant, wash it with APC and then use it again for Adam's Americana Premium Wax? or do I need to buy another and keep them for specific uses? Really looking to limit my "tools"... getting crazy.
  16. I know I'm being stupid...but it's early. What's IPA?
  17. In my recent post I stated because of paint chips in my DD hood there was polish left in these voids making my "job" less then perfect. I had used machine super sealant as the final step thinking to protect the work I had done until I got a chance to re-turn and try again. Well that time is here (3 weeks later) and I was wondering how to strip the sealant off before using APC to address the polish filled chips. Will the APC remove the sealant as well? Again...thanks in advance.
  18. As a newbie addict, I'm trying to perfect my skills on my DD Volvo 850 before moving on to the "garage queen". Surprisingly the Volvo's paint has held up very well considering 170,000 miles driven and 17 years of abuse including never seeing the inside of a garage. After polishing the hood with a PC and appropriate polishes (severe, swirl and final polish - 3 stages), I believe because of all the paint chips in the hood, the polish has filled those low points making the hood look even worse than before. I was thinking to wash again after soaking with All Purpose and trying to seal (which I think will dry clear). Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
