  1. Been trying to get my generac pressure washer set up so I have minimal prep work getting it ready to wash. Got my reel tonight, thanks to wolf. Bolted it straight to the pressure washer and worked great. Foam cannon will be here tomorrow, hopefully I get one use out of it before winter hits
  2. https://www.griotsgarage.com/product/compact+sit+on+creeper+bottle+holders.do?sortby=ourPicks Here's a link to the bottle holders I was talking about
  3. Here's a few pics of the foam pad I installed and the bigger wheels on it. Foam pad looks kind of cheesy but works well, it's just a cut section from one of the kids play floor mats lol
  4. I also got the seat and wasn't overly impressed, made a few small modifications and now really like it. Didn't like the cheap/small wheels, just didn't seem to roll very smoothly. Picked up a 4 pack of 4" rubber casters at Lowe's for $20 and the seat rolls effortlessly now. Also trimmed a foam pad and stuck it to the top for a little padding. The pull out drawer is kind of silly, but if u take it out it's a good place to stash a few spray bottles on their sides for easy access. Another company makes an additional bottle holder set made just for this seat that holds 16 or 32 oz bottles, the holder clips onto the outside of each plastic tray, may have to order me a set to try, only $10
  5. Thanks for the tips. Did a little bit of reorganization in the garage and now have my pressure washer up front in the garage between the 2 doors. Will leave it in this exact spot during use and have the hose neatly coiled on the wall. Only prep work will be connecting garden hose and unwinding pressure hose. Will be much easier now and not so inconvenient
  6. That's the only thing that is the pain in the rear. I like using the pressure washer but it just adds another task during the wash. It's bad enough cleaning out 3 buckets, wash pads, brushes, sometimes I think it takes me longer to get everything ready and put away than the actual washing of the vehicle. Guess it only adds maybe a few minutes getting the pressure washer ready though
  7. Have had the premium foam gun for a while now and love it. Been considering the cannon for a while now to use with my generac gas pressure washer. Decided to pull the trigger last night on the foam soap/cannon combo, which is a great deal, but now wondering if I should cancel the order. I love using my pressure washer to wash the vehicles, but sometimes it's just a hassle and another item to prep/put away during wash time. For the cannon users out there, do u normally use it every wash and think it is worth it?
  8. Can't believe they're sold out already. I jumped on it this morning and ordered it as soon as the site was updated with them in stock
  9. Went ahead and ordered the seat today, can't wait. If it is too hard for my bottom, I will just attach a foam kneeling pad with industrial Velcro and trim it to fit. Did this to my bones creeper seat and works perfect
  10. Anybody else considering purchasing the new detailing seat? Currently have the tail bone rough rider creeper seat, which I love, but it is so big and bulky that I rarely use it anymore. Really thinking about the new Adams seat
  11. Yup, my 14 ram Laramie was the same when I bought it last year. Paint was so rough and contaminated, very first wash it felt like I was dragging the wash pad on the concrete driveway. Took quite a bit of clay work to get it perfectly smooth
  12. Was waiting for a review of the silk towels, may have to try them. Picked up a 6 pack of the tough towels when they came out, thought I didn't like them at first and was gonna return them, but after a few times I am starting to like them more and more
  13. Here is a pic of the test spot. Still a bit blotchy but hopefully it will even out as it cures
  14. Have tried the trim coating a few times on my ram and wife's cherokee with crappy results. Every time I couldn't even tell I coated it the next day. Tried a test spot on the jeep wiper cowel tonight. Trim just kept soaking up the coating and still looked dry, kept applying it until finally it stopped soaking it in and had a nice sheen (probably went over it 7-8 times with the coating but it seemed to have worked better. Gonna give it a few days to see if it holds before I attempt again
  15. Curious to hear others thoughts about the new towels. Picked up a 6 pack of the tough glass towels, have mixed feelings about them. They did perform great leaving no streaks and removed stuck on bugs easily. Only thing I didn't like is they are much thicker and more rigid than the normal glass towel, can't really scrunch it between your fingers if that makes sense. Time will tell, hopefully after some use and a few washes they will break in a bit. May have to try the silk towels soon
  16. Hmmm, now wondering if maybe I did get a bad bottle. The trim on my vehicles isn't really aged or faded bad and I have tried a few applications months apart and same outcome every time
  17. I remember your detailed write up when u did the Volvo, and the plastic roof rails on my wife's jeep looked the same with the tiger stripe effect going on. Looked great after trim coating, until a week later when it wears off
  18. Just wanted to share my thoughts about the trim coating, my truck is a 14 ram Laramie and wife drives a 12 grand cherokee. Have tried the trim coating in a few spots on each vehicle-wiper cowel, rubber window moldings, roof rack molding, plastic fender flares, and same results on both vehicles. Looks great for a few days, week later looks like I never touched them and I am back to using vrt on my trim. I prepped the trim and followed directions to a T, scrubbing it with the prep until the towel comes up clean, but seems like it just disapears a few days later. Gonna have to stick with vrt for now bc the trim coating does nothing for me
  19. I did the same on my 14 dodge ram Laramie last year. Was trying to remove etching from bird crap on the hood. Got it just about perfect, went one more pass and now have a 2" circle dead center of my hood that is dull bc I went through clear. Almost cried when it happened. Have just learned to live with it, it's very hard to see anyway.
  20. Noticed the new towels this morning, definitely gonna pick up a few, just can't decide which one to try, thoughts?
  21. Anybody else in the same boat? Need quite a few gallon refills and hoping for a labor day sale this weekend, hopefully Adams still has one this year
  22. Love my merino wool mitts, but hate how it takes days for it to dry, then the inside begins to rot from being damp too long, and the wool fibers dry all tangled together. Decided to purchase a small 9" desktop fan, left the wool mitt on the grit guard with the fan right up against it. Only took 4-5 hours and completely dry. Little more maintenance for a car wash pad, but I don't mind bc I love using the merino mitts, just seems they get wrecked staying wet/damp for a few days
  23. This seemed to have solved my issues! Tried the merino again today, wrung it out real good after the wash and ran my fingers through it like I was scratching my yellow labs back, did this a few times every couple hours and it dried nice and fluffy! Still left it in the sun to dry quicker, can't see what harm it could do. If stored in a dry cool area it takes days to dry out and the inside hide starts molding eventually
  24. Gonna try your method to see if it helps. Have a merino still in the bag and will give it one last shot. Maybe I ruined my merino bc I always left it in the sun all day to dry after a wash and it made the fibers dry all tangled up
