  1. Gents (and ladies!), I've been "Adamizing" my rides for the first time, using Americana for LSP. On my truck, and gf's suv, the wax applicator was picking up some black residue here and there upon accidental contact with trim or rubber and some was transferred back to the wax stock during reapplication. So the question is: will "dirty" Americana still work the same, or will there be a slight dulling of the finish on lighter-colored cars? My truck is dark green, vette is black, and gf's suv is black, so I can't tell! But my buddy wants to try it on his bright red truck... Thanks!
  2. wash. redskins!!! (GO SKINS!!! FINALLY DON'T SUCK AS BAD!!!)
  3. I've been looking for a good before/after of the invisible undercarriage spray on a truck--in a debate with myself over ordering priorities--so did you use it? The wheel wells sure look nice...
  4. mine is similar to Justin's above. Got some metal shelving from Lowe's for a decent price and plastic drawers from Home Depot (no reason for that...they are across the street and I go to both) but you need more light to start with! *edit: I also keep a spray bottle of each product hanging off a cart, so whether I'm cleaning or repairing, I'll have a bottle of anything I need at hand.
  5. Forced me to pause, crank the speakers and sub, and replay... ...and wish my Z06 sounded like that
  6. My personal favorite for concealing is a Glock 23, which is a sub-compact .40. It holds 13 and if that's not enough to at least scare your way out of a situation...you're probably in too deep already! But if you want some serious defense-oriented training you should look up Pat Goodale. He has a range in WV and I've taken a few of his classes...dude is intense (ex-Special Forces...Rangers perhaps?)! He teaches you to use cover, and he shoots you with an airsoft gun in any part of your body that sticks out from cover, while you're trying to shoot multiple targets down range! He also teaches you to draw from the driver's seat, get out, and take down 7 targets around the car, shoot from the ground if you're getting stomped, and all sorts of other scenarios! I don't think it's too expensive either...maybe $150/8 hour day? Just be ready to be SORE the next day...
  7. Cool, thanks Dylan. I don't think I'll be taking any sandpaper to this car...
  8. Is this what is meant by "orange peel" or is this normal? This is after the 3-step correction, but before glaze and wax. (yes there are still some minor scratches...this was my first attempt!)
  9. I know this is a long shot...but do you have any pictures that show the difference? I just used Americana after some paint correction on my black Z06, and I can't imagine it being any easier or looking any better! Maybe I should try some of the buttery-ness on the next daily special...
  10. The short story: I bought a new (to me) 2008 Z06 corvette as a graduation present to myself for finishing my PhD and landing a sweet job...but the paint was in rough shape in the eyes of OCD. I invested in the Flex starter bundle and gave it a shot one weekend. Now I am watching the daily specials until I have every product offered by the Adam's team. I posted several pictures of the results in my album, but I don't have time to repost them here right now (sneaking this in at work) but check them out for some eye candy! Ignore the wheels, tires, and plastic in some of the pics...I just ordered VRT and don't have the metal polishes yet. Adam's FTW! If I get time later, I'll try to post the pictures here. Edit: Products used: severe swirl remover, swirl and haze remover, fine machine polish, brilliant glaze, and americana paste wax
  11. ...ian, new to Adam's and new owner of a Z06 Ordered $100 of stuff to try last week and I'm beyond impressed so far. Time to check my bank account and see how many products I can possibly order this week! I don't think I'll be spending nearly as much time or money at Advance anymore...
