  1. FedEx has been dropping the ball in my area lately. All of my Adams packages arrive a day or 2 past the estimated delivery date. More importantly though, I frequently ship work items (small vials of chemicals) 150 miles down the road to our collaborator and even when I pay for priority overnight (i.e. guaranteed morning delivery) they still don't get there until late afternoon. Heaven forbid I ship ground and it takes 2 days to go 150 miles. not happy with FedEx in the last 2 months...
  2. makes me want to trade in my black C6 Z06 for a blue C7 ...almost...
  3. gotcha. I'm wash-deprived and I know I can't sleep cuz I haven't washed mine in 3 weeks It must also affect my critical thinking abilities.
  4. so let me get this straight...you haven't washed your car in 22 days? how do you sleep at night?
  5. old school #2 pencils for me, and there is an electric pencil sharpener on my desk...one that will still eat the entire pencil if you keep on pushin! why? because chemists are weird and have to have things a certain way. and this is one of those things.
  6. 5 towels the size of single softs? definitely not an excess amount, I use that many on a smaller car...like Roshan said, better to use more towels than damage the paint!
  7. Sweet, thanks! I'm a chemist...so I like solvent ...just not nearly as much as I like explosives....
  8. I used detail spray for this purpose. Is this a mistake?
  9. Hopefully this hasn't been mentioned yet, but I didn't read 30 pages to find out... I purchased a microsuede couch last weekend and they offered me a spray pre-treatment that supposedly makes cleaning stains extremely easy. So the idea is this: what about LSP for cloth interiors or carpet? Sort of like QS for cloth seats?
  10. I used 1 coat of QS and 1 coat of APW on my truck, which stays outside and gets to take on the harsh winter roads (and being 4x4...I push that to the limit sometimes), and after about 3 months and 2 or 3 washes the wax has held up fine so far. The morning dew/ice still beads and rain rolls off in huge puddles.
  11. do not try to use the same spot on the towel twice, even if you think the last pass wasn't dirty. never. NEVER! I got lazy on my rear bumper and put some light scratches in it during my first WW.
  12. Two things I couldn't find are the business location / service area, and if you offer mobile services or the customer needs to drop the car off.
  13. I picked up one of these from Lowe's: Shop Style Selections 3-Tier Indoor Drying Rack at Lowes.com Works great to dry everything from towels, to pads, to gf's clothes (and that's important...must keep her happy so I can keep buying more Adam's products!) then it folds up and fits beside the dryer for storage
  14. Hi Rick! I joined the Adam's following for the same reason: to keep my newly purchased Z06 spotless. Let me tell you...you are in the right place! My advice is to just buy the Ultimate kit right off the bat! Inevitably, you will buy it piece by piece within 3 months anyway.
  15. ...your girl is cleaning the kitchen, you jokingly say "remember what I taught you?" and her reply is "to prime the pad!" happened yesterday...almost died laughing.
  16. I've had the best luck with soaking my towels overnight. I use about 1 oz of the cleaner with 2-3 gallons of warm water, soak overnight, wring out, and wash with a fresh 1 oz and warm water, then hang to dry. When you pour out the soak bucket water, there's always a TON of black goo in the bottom...perhaps I should soak with a grit guard in there!
  17. Nice! Anxiously waiting for a video to hear it running...
  18. One of my Christmas presents: And SURPRISE!!! It actually feels like a quality made product!
  19. How did i know that was coming? Good point though...I tried searching several different strings and couldn't find anyone else reporting a problem. As a newb, still figured I'd ask!
