  1. Everybody. Sitting here in sunny Southern California. Got pulled over by California's finest this morning on our way to a delivery near the L.A. airport. I always thought trucks could drive in either of the right two lanes. I was wrong. Later
  2. That's a great car show. Such a wide variety of cars. Is that the Munstermoble in the second to last shot? Later,
  3. It's the screen that shows up on your computer when you turn it on. Later,
  4. Howdy Welcome to AF! Later,
  5. Nice job, love those CCW wheels. Enjoyed the write up. Later,
  6. Nice camera Jason. What lens do you have or going to get? Later,
  7. Thanks for posting those pics, enjoyed them very much! As far as the blurry photos I'll take an educated guess. The camera was using a slow shutter speed and the blur was from camera movement. You are most likely using 'auto' mode? Just try to limit movement when taking the picture. Tuck your arms tight at your side, hold your breath and concentrate on not moving when you press the shutter. Again thanks for posting! Later,
  8. Yeep the link worked. Can really see those white tennies in that Adams shine. Later,
  9. Man I'm heading to Junkmans place next time I'm in the area. I can almost smell the grill. Nice garage set up Tom, and welcome to the forum. Later,
  10. Sorry I forgot about the claybar step.... I worked one weekend out in California on my semi truck, (see pictures in my album), I only got the cab and hood done doing claybar, orange pad w/SHR then orange pad w/FMP then white pad w/FMP then black pad w/MSW. I'm not looking foward to doing the sleeper there are some serious swirl marks there. I'll forget about the wet sanding on the Vette and start with the claybar then the orange pad etc. and I'll be happy with the results, I'm sure. Again thanks for taking the time Junkman! Later,
  11. Great write up! I do have a question though. My black Z06 was a rebuild wrecked car. I know it will never be a 'garage queen' and I don't want that anyway. Looking at the paint/clearcoat closely I can see that the car was not painted in the cleanest of conditions. There are imperfections, ie trash, dust etc. whatever in the clear. If I was to go back and wet sand the whole car can those imperfections be taken out? Without doing any 'damage' The only thing I've done to the paint on this car, and I've had it nearly 2 years now, was last week I attending my first meeting of a newly formed Corvette club and I washed the car and wiped it down with some Detail Spray and then applied some BSG and wiped in down again. I could not believe the difference just doing that made. The guy I bought the car from even made a comment about it. When I get the time I'll be doing the whole car, but right now I don't know if I should go as far as wet sanding or just start with the orange pad and SHR. Later,
  12. Great write up! One thing you need to point out when someone asks about 'retaining the new car shine' Using Adams products will 'outshine' the new car shine' Later,
  13. Welcome Lonny! A few years back my wife and I spent 2 years delivering telephone switching gear on a regular basis in your neck of the woods. Alberta (Jasper and Banff National Parks)and B.C. are about the most beautiful places in North America. We've always talked about going to Calgary and watch the famous horse stampede. Congratulations on the new Vette. People here in the States sometimes don't realize the premium you pay for your vehicles. Later,
  14. And sitting next to it is the new Adams micro fiber detailing pad drying unit. Later,
  15. I love that photo too. As a bit of a what-to-be photographer I try to work 'old glory' in some of my pictures whenever I can. Later,
  16. Thanks for the kind words Darren. I bought my first truck back in 1976, a 1973 Chevrolet Titan 90 which was a re badged GMC Astro. It was a cabover, single axle, no A/C or power steering. The motor was a 8V 71 (318) Detroit cut back to 290hp and a 10 speed Roadranger transmission. It would run 62 mph flat out against the governor and was so noisy inside you couldn't hardly talk to the person in the passenger seat. My wife and I are really enjoying this 'RV semi truck'. It really has made life out on the road a lot more comfortable. Good luck in the future if you decide to start driving truck for a living. It is getting a lot more difficult to make any money at it any more. Later,
  17. http://www1.snapfish.com/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=259784406/a=140619702_140619702/t_=140619702 I've some some pictures posted on snapfish. I hope that link works. Plus I've got some in my Album, just click in my signature. We're at home right now and we just had a 40 year record snow Saturday night. Right now I'm changing the oil in the gen set. I'm going to get more pictures when the weather gets nice. Thanks all for the interest in our rig. It's not the 'normal' vehicle on this site. I do have some cool cars that I can't wait to get the Adam's shine on, including the black ZO6 I use in my banner. Later,
  18. Did you take the driving school? I've done several HPDE's with my ZO6.
  19. I read the same thing also. It was on a post that someone (won't name) posted on a one day sale on the undercarriage spray. That was the first I heard of that. I'm glad that Adam piped in and said no.......:explode:don't do that. Later,
  20. The best I remember, (I'm out on the road now) my wife's 95 'sawblades' are clearcoatd and I don't think you would want to put a 'metal' polish on them. Once the clear coat starts to discolor, fade, peel I don't know what to do with them. I experienced the same thing with the undercarriage spray in the front wheel wells. They are very open on a c-4 with the hood up. I did not like the way the undercarriage spray looked. I have since started using VRT in that place. Later,
