I need information on washing/waxing my new truck.

I just got a new black Silverado and I've heard things about not washing with soap right away and waxing right away. The truck was built in January. How soon should you be able to wash, clay bar, and wax a new vehicle?

 

On another note...why can't I order the double bucket system from Adam's? I can get to the page but there is nowhere to add to cart.

With a new car with factory paint you will be fine washing, claying, and waxing it. It is newly painted paint from the body shop you have to let cure for about 3 months.

Steve you are good to go with Washing, Claying and waxing your new truck. Do the baggie test to see if it does need clayed. Take your hand in a sandwich baggie, rub over paint gently if you feel bumps you need to clay! Post up some pics when done!

It does look good when it's clean. It's never been really clean though since we know that nobody will clean our vehicle like we will. I just ordered some stuff to fix that.
