The street and the walkway to my condo have a thick layer of dust. Luckily I was home when it hit, so my car was in the garage the entire time. She doesn't need to be dry sanded yet. We get them once every couple of years or so. Last one I remember for sure was in 2008. This was the biggest one I've ever seen though and I've been here for 30 years now. I think AZ really the only place in the states that gets them. They also occur in north africa and the middle east. It's crazy watching one roll on. No need for cheesy summer actions movies with them. I don't think anyone was seriously hurt. Haven't seen any death reports from it. They really don't do a ton of damage. It's not like a tornado or hurricane. I did see that there was something like 300 car accident of varying degrees. Not surprising when visibility goes down to nothing in an area about the side of Rhode Island with 4.2 million people. Now that's going to require quite a bit of Waterless Wash... I didn't even know there was a term to describe this! It's going to take a lot of waterless wash. I really hope we get a rain in the next day or two. There's a layer of dust over everything right now. Driving on the freeway this afternoon there was dust clouds being kicked up from all the dirt on the road.
