I got my Flex, polishes, and pads today in the mail. :mail:

Woohoo!

They are my 40th birthday present, but I got them at a 20% off during a Labor Day sale. My wife says: "I'm wrapping those. You can't have them until your birthday."

i just got my PC yesterday and it was a "belated" birthday present from my wife... my bday was about 3 weeks ago!

She saw me typing my post about this so I let her read it.

Her: "What are you writing about...how you can't have your birthday present until December?"

Me: "Ummmmm, yeah."

Her: after reading it, "Well if you are gonna post it all over the internet, then ok, you can use it."

Me: "You know you'll get your car polished too, and I wouldn't really get to use it until spring if we wait until December. That's the advantage of you driving an Audi. You get your own personal detailer."

Her: "unh huh"....rolls eyes

Me: "Love you" sheepishly

This was all playful banter.

We're out of town this weekend, but I'll get to take a crack at it hopefully the following weekend weather permitting. After the trip, the A8 will be disgusting so I need a full day just to get it even prepared for polish.

Yay! Waiting that long would be cruel, and being able to prep it for the winter weather, (yes even in Atlanta) is a good thing. Do the wife's car first, so she can be showing off her car.

We just got the A4 cab for my wife back in early March. She loved the A5 (who doesn't?), but still being relatively new, they were out of our desired price range. She's all grins with the A4 cab though, so no regrets.

My Audi obsession starting in 1994:

'86 GT Coupe-> '96 A4 2.8-> '97 A4 2.8M-> '00 S4 stg2+ (what a great car!)-> '01 allroad 2.7t-> '00 A8 4.2->'05 A8L 4.2

Unless this A8 causes me problems, I see me keeping her a long time. I love it! No issues so far with either. I'm just tweaking them slowly to get rid of the minor blemishes from the previous owners.

My Audi obsession starting in 1994:
