focus pad holograms

bjoeaull

Question

So I hit a couple spots on my truck with the orange focus pad, swirl and haze remover and used a drill. I noticed some minor holograms. I assume when I polish it that it will go a way with the pc and fine polish. But curious as to if this is normal or was my technique wrong. Just wanted to use this as a learning process in case I was doing it wrong. On a good note, it was taking the scratches out!

Its pretty normal... its even mentioned in the videos when Adam completes the focus pad work on the vettes rear deck and the reason I demonstrate the use of the 4" pads on the PC.

Thanks guys, I thought I caught you saying something about cleaning up the paint in the beginning of that focus pad video when I just watched it Dylan.

I probably could have kept it moving a little more though.

What Dylan said... + anything rotary makes it pretty tough to not get holograms. PC is a much better bet. Most rotary users finish with a PC or flex to remove the holograms... It takes MAD skill to finish down with no holograms on a rotary.
