What to use on pinstriping?

sparky

Question

stiped.bmpSo I just got a little pinstriping done on my el camino, and had to wipe the areas down with wax & grease remover. Now I need to re-apply something over the striping, but don't think that machine polishing would be good for it. Which product would you recomend?

Any of the waxes will work, but QS may be the best solution. It requires the least 'touching' - spray it on the area or on the applicator, wipe to level, let sit for a few minutes, and wipe off. Done!

Nice, I love painted stripes...

Anyhow, make sure it is fully cured, typically around 30 days. Then do any hand polishing up to the striping, and apply quick sealant as mentioned. Just use care and common sense and they should last a good long time. Use less pressure when washing the area, don't machine polish on top, and if you have body stripes, wash and wax with the stripe, not across the stripe. Let me know if you have any questions.
