crowvet
Thinking of switching my home phone to a internet based phone service. $20 a month unlimited long distance. Any negatives other than the obvious loss of phone service when the internet glitches??
Captain Slow
BTT, I'm curious too. Vonage anyone?

07RS4
Daryle, I've used the Magic Jack for over two years now with no issues, plus it's only $20/year, unlimited calling, and you can bring it with you whereever you go. Just a thought.
mjhpadi
Yes, we have had Vonage for several years now. It has been as good as our regular phone service. Only problem is if the internet is down so is the phone...not a big problem with cell available. It is great to be able to call anywhere in the country and have no additional cost. Sound quality is fine and overall there we have no complaints about Vonage, and no plans on changing.
1FAST SS
We have had Vonage as well. No problems in the two years we have used it.
