Fluorescent light bulb colors

I have 2- 8' 4 bulb fixtures and 2- 4' 2 bulb fixtures in a single car garage.

 

Pleanty of light but the bulbs are getting tired and I want to replace them.

 

Is there any one particular color (cool white, soft white, natural...ect) that works better for detailing?

I have 4-4' 4 bulb fixtures in a double garage.  I use Phillips Daylight Deluxe and they work great.

If you have the T12 bulbs your might as well replace the whole fixture with a new one.  The T12's are being phased out and will no longer be available.

Go to home depot and get the T5 4 bulb setup. Its 90 bucks includes the bulbs iirc. 18k Lumens is plenty for a single car space.
