Vinyl Stripes Wax or Paint Sealant?

Is it safe to wax or use paint sealant on vinyl stripes on your car?  I have looked around and I can not find a defiant answer.  Thanks.

The only definite answer is:  Try some different options. See what works best for you.

 

I have flat black vinyl strips and only use sVRT on them.  Wax tends to build-up on the edges and look messy IMHO.

 

I don't think sealant does anything for them at all but some people use it on the vinyl.

I would think Quick Sealant would be best. Paste Wax would build up along the raised edges.

I use both QS and patriot on my gloss vinyl hood decal. You just have to be careful when applying the wax that you don't apply it too thick. I usually wax around the stripe then come back to the stripe when there's less wax on the applicator.

 I used a FINE polish to remove some hairline scratches then VRT....Gloss stripes on Camaro..
