Fit08
Is the porter cable capable of taking advantage of the microfiber cutting power with the 4" pads, and if so what speed 4 or 5 would you use.
0 GerryC
I have not tried the 4" microfiber pads with the PC, but I have used the 7" and they do cut better than the foam, so I would imagine the 4" hold the same advantage. I would stick with speed 5, you just don't ned to use as much pressure with the smaller pads, since the power is concentrated in a smaller area. 0 Ricky Bobby
PC and 4" MF cutting pads are great for small area correction power. x2 on what Gerry said above me, speed 5-6 on the PC with moderate pressure on the head of the polisher will give you great correction ability, you'll be impressed! i have my PC set up with a 3" backing plate for permanent 4" pad duty and use a newer machine for 6.5" pad duty. 0 Team Adam's
Shoot for 5-6 with the Correcting Polish and 4.5-5 with Finishing Polish and you'll see great results!
