I just finished a detail on my car and I noticed during the orange polishing stage that the pad started having a small dark blue tint to it which is the color of the paint on my car. After I noticed that I put less pressure than usual on my polisher. My car is 14' Mitsubishi Lancer Evo.
Did I ruin the clear coat on my car? There seems to be no signs of haziness or cloudiness on the surface of the paint.
Any insight is helpful.
I was using the new foam pads w/ the new 2 step system 6k rpm on Porter Cable.
