DirtyBlackHoe
Well the time finally came where someone bought the wifes 2004 Tahoe and I knew it was time to either buy a junker, or buy something that I completely 100% planned to keep for 5+ years. I have been in love with this truck since I first saw it and it is my fave GM color. I ended up getting a deal that I couldn't pass up and I literally have not stopped smiling ear to ear since it became mine. I have always wanted to have a lowered truck and was scared that I would hate it. As Lee told me I jumped both first first and got this truck. I love being lowered and can't believe it took me so long to have one.Current mods (quick list because i notice more mods everytime I look at the truck)Coated Pacesetter LTs, ORY, 18" Bullet, 22" Magnaflow, full 3" exhaustBuilt Transmission with TB I6 convertorComp Cam 216/220 .525 .532 114LSA, Hardened pushrods. redneck08sierra
looks good! I assume it has 3.42 gears currently? I would go to 4.10 b.c you aren't going to notice much of a difference from 3.42 to 3.73. Smart move on the tru cool. And you probably already have a tuner in mind but if you don't, i do like my blackbear tune

Either way if I can find an axle to swap under it I will go 3.73, but if I am going all new I will do 3.90-4.10 gears. I have a friend of mine that doesn't HPtuners so he will be adjusting my tune for me since there are a few little issues with what is done to it now. redneck08sierra

DirtyBlackHoe
Well I finally got around to washing and waxing the truck. Thing turned out awesome and pictures don't do it justice. Still love this truck more than I even thought I would.BTW oldest son wanted to help me wash the truck and when we got done he wanted to take pictures of it. So he got his cell phone (old one of ours that isn't connected to service) and he went to snapping pictures of the truck and the Suburban. I must say it was awesome to see how much attention and focus he gave the project. Also got the wifes suburban while I was at it.

DirtyBlackHoe
Haven't posted on here in awhile, and I finally got to try some new products and also clean the truck. It was filthy, but as always it is easy to get back into shape. I finally used DWC on the wheels and applied Quick Sealant afterwards. I really like the QS so far. Makes the wheels pop even more and hopefully makes them easier to keep clean. BTW I got 4.10's and my Detroit TrueTrac installed 3 weeks ago, retune done (runs much better now), installed my Transcooler, and am just enjoying it. I need to get some exhaust leaks fixed, and then put some miles on it. Sorry for the basic shots of the truck. By the time I got done the wife was ready to fire up the grill and I was ready for a cold beer.

DirtyBlackHoe
Love it... and you know I'm partial to a lowered chevy with 22" TBSS reps so you're definitely in my sweet spot Man I remember that thing when you had them...now I saw where the 24' ones are starting to ship out today. Makes me want to go staggered and do a 22/24 setup until I can afford to go completely 24's I am just not sure if they will look DONKISH, kill my ride, and if it is really worth the money to swap over to them. ExpressThis13
if your happy with the way the truck is performing now leave the 22s you've got a good look going on here. 24s will kill your ride and your performance. DirtyBlackHoe
