mbzamg32
How would you go about detailing this wheels? Would the wheel cleaner work? What should I use to bring out the shine on the lip and protect the wheel?
0 mbzamg32
And I want to clean the inside barrel as well. It looks like polished aluminum not sure though.
0 Odds and Ends
Sure, the wheel cleaner is great for these type of wheels. It loosens up the brake dust to make the harder places easier to clean. A small wheel woolie for the spokes and although lots of folks use the angled wheel woolie for the insides, I still love my turbo stick for barrels. Trim and lug nut brush will come in handy for these too. It will take a fair amount of time, but seal them with LPS. That will make them even easier to maintain. 0 Bryce
Just like Darryl said. The lug nut brush will be really valuable for getting all of those detailed spots.Liquid Paint Sealant and a coat of H20 Guard and Gloss will make them look great! 0 mbzamg32
Do i need the metal polish 1&2 for the lip?
0 The Guz
Are the lips clear coated? A good way to test is to take a little metal polish and apply it to a small area. If the towel turns black then it is uncoated.
0 avimore
Wheel cleaner may be overkill if your wheels aren't that dirty. I use soap and water on weekly washes and it's more than enough to keep them clean. Wheel woolie, trim and lug nut brush will be your friend on these wheels. LPS to seal and protect, with H2O maintenance to bring out the shine. Awesome wheels btw! Bryce
0 mbzamg32
So if the towel turns black proceed with metal polish 1? If it doesn't use LPS/h20 is that right? The inner barrel is covered with brake dust that's why I want to use the wheel cleaner. And you could use LPS on the inside barrels as well right? 0 avimore
If the towel turns black then the lip is uncoated/naked metal and you can use polish 1. If not, you can use your usual cleaning routine and seal with LPS. Yes, you can use LPS on the inside barrels. https://youtu.be/N_esrvdaXDM
