VRT on slightly dirty tires..?

So I recently got VRT and was wondering if I can still apply it to my tires even though it's been about a week since I've washed my car. Should VRT only be applied to a clean spotless surface, as in directly after a car wash? In my last post that "insane" moderator Dan told me he applies VRT twice a week! But he can't possibly wash his car twice a week could he? Wouldn't be surprised! 

 

All in all i'm just asking if you guys apply VRT/Tire Shine even when your tire isn't properly clean, thanks!

If the wheels are so what dirty the only thing that's gonna happen is the applicator is going to be filled with dirt.

You're fine to apply VRT to slightly dirty tires. Highly recommend Tire and Rubber cleaner for deep cleaning during washes, if you  aren't already.

I have a block I keep just for touch up jobs after the car has been driven. But yes, the only harm in putting VRT or any dressings on a dirty tire is running the applicator tool. I have a clean block for applying VRT to clean tires.

If they aren't too dirty you can get away with it.
