MarlinMark
Hello All, I am in NW Oregon and have a new 2018 GMC Duramax Denali pickup in Quick Silver Metallic. I have always hand washed my new truck and now I plan to step it up with some of Adam's products. I have been watching videos and doing some research but I would like to throw it out there....What should I do to protect my "new" truck. I have 4K miles on it as of today. Thanks in advance everyone. I look forward to this fun, clean, hobby. Mark
Nickfire20
I would highly recommend a Ceramic Coating! Adam has a similar truck I believe. I am on my 3rd Tahoe, and I coated it. Coatings are absolutely marvelous! Lets see some pics!
Chris@Adams
Welcome Mark, I vote for Ceramic Coating as well! MarlinMark
It's not detailing season here so I think I may wait a couple more months. In the mean time I was thinking of one of the spray on wipe down treatments after washing like the H2Ogaurd. Mark

Post some pics when you're done...we like 'em!
kaj41354
Welcome Mark! HGG is great, I love to use it especially at this time of year
pirahnah3
Welcome to the forums and to the detailing fun. To answer your question we will need some more information. What level of protection and maintenance are you looking for? Is the cost a primary factor or is the product the primary factor? You want to protect it? Fully wrap the vehicle in PPF and then put a ceramic coating over the top of it. That would be several thousand dollars. There are tons of options from wash and a quick wax for pennies per wash to the previously mentioned film and coating.
MarlinMark
I am an outdoorsman and my trucks get used a lot on gravel and dirt roads. I want to protect it and have it be easy to maintain. I don't want or need "Showroom" results but I do like to see that my money and work are paying off. The truck is new and I don't have any power tools for detailing so stripping the wax and starting over at this time of year is not desirable. I am going to do more this spring but right now if I was to wash carefully and then use (insert the type) to help maintain it for now. Cost is not the primary factor. Quality and ease of use are big for me. Thanks to all. Mark
falcaineer
Knowing that, it's hard to beat HGG for ease of use and protection gained. Note nothing from Adam's will fully protect from gravel/rock chips. But for now, in your situation, HGG has my vote. pirahnah3
pirahnah3
I would agree that cost effective would be H20 GG, if you were going to put out a bit more the spray ceramic might be a choice as well, thou no long term results are in as its a new product.
