pgp Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 I have a 2001 Pontiac, It sits outside 24/7. It has a vinyl interior. Should I clean it with your APC deluted 50% and then use VRT, or should I use just Leather/ interior cleaner alone?
0 pgp Posted April 9, 2009 Author Posted April 9, 2009 Not too bad, It's tan or beige if that matters. I usually treat it maybe twice a year with what ever I have around Like Armor All. I want to clean it well and use better products for spring.
0 Rich Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 If it's not really dirty, then just use the Leather and interior cleaner, and follow up with the Leather conditioner to keep it soft.
0 Team Adam's Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Hey Dave, Â Great question, You should go ahead and use the leather and interior cleaner and follow with VRT or Leather Conditioner. Clean thoroughly to remove residue from previous products and work the VRT or Conditioner in. That should do the trick.
0 pgp Posted April 10, 2009 Author Posted April 10, 2009 I have the APC and L&I cleaner, I will clean it up this weekend with the L&I and see how it turns out. I don't have the Conditioner or VRT yet. I usually pick up at the Carlisle Shows. I read so much about the VRT and I did not realize these could be used inside, since most put it on tires.
0 GerryC Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 VRT can be used on the inside but I like to keep VRT for exterior only and use the Leather Conditioner for the interior. Leather Conditioner has more SPF (65) and since pieces like the dashboard are subject to more direct sunlight, Leather Conditioner is better, plus it makes the interior smell like new.

0 pgp Posted April 15, 2009 Author Posted April 15, 2009 I did not consider using that since I don't have leather. I do have the cleaner. Thanks for the comments
0 Rich Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 You really do want to follow up with the conditioner after you've cleaned the vinyl/leather. It'll keep your material soft and protected from the sun, etc.
0 pgp Posted April 16, 2009 Author Posted April 16, 2009 Does anyone know if the Conditioner and VRT is available in the trial size? Thanks -PGP
0 Bill-V8V Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I know there were 4 oz bottles of VRT a few weeks ago. I've never seen the LC in a 4 oz. Take a look for Ashley on live support, she would know
0 livingwater Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 The VRT label doesn't suggest using it on the interior however the Leather conditioner doesn't comment about using it on anything other then leather. Â Is the leather conditioner the best Adams product to use on the interior items that as NOT leather?
0 GerryC Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I use the conditioner on interior plastic and vinyl as well as leather.
0 Bill-V8V Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 You can use either one, try it on a spot and see what you like better  Â Different materials like one better than the other, but the LC does have a higher SPF
0 pgp Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 (edited) The VRT label doesn't suggest using it on the interior however the Leather conditioner doesn't comment about using it on anything other then leather. Is the leather conditioner the best Adams product to use on the interior items that as NOT leather?  I agree, the web site information does not mention all of the uses for these two products. I got confused after reading some of these posts. Still learning Edited May 3, 2009 by pgp
0 Rich Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I use the leather conditioner on just about everything on the interior.......steering wheel, dash, console, etc. And the VRT on things on the outside or trunk area........window casing/coves, anthing black plastic in the trunk, tires, etc.
0 ridebmxfbm Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Can the leather cleaner and conditioner be used on a vinyl top?
0 Rich Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 That one I'm not honestly sure enough of to answer. Adam?
