Help gum on carpet

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p>What is the best way to remove gum off of carpet? The gum is on the carpeted floor mat. Any tips or tricks will be greatly appreciated.<o:p></o:p>

I've always applied an ice cube on the gum for a minute or so and than use the back side of a butter knife(the blunt edge) to scrape it off. If it's really ground in it may take a couple of trys. The ice hardens it so it will come off.

Put the mat in your freezer overnight. In the morning the gum will be frozen and you can just scrape it off.

 

Wow, great idea Rich!! I'd use a razor blade to cut it out or scrape it off from there.
