mononoke6900
Does anyone have any tips on removing old vinyl stickers from paint? I have a old sticker that is about 9 years old and looks terrible. Thanks
JoeR
I use a 3m eraser wheel, put it on a variable speed drill and it will take it right off. Be Careful tho because it could also harm your paint if you go to fast or stay in a single area for to long
rha600
being that you're in Hawaii do what I've done. park you car out in the sun on a really bright day and let the sticker get nice and gooey. Then peal it off and use whatever solvent you want to get the glue off. I've used gasoline and then just cleaned and rewaxed that area.
Chris@Adams
You could try a hair dryer, then use 3M Adhesive Remover to remove any residue .
rha600
hair dryer works good too. but believe it or not, down here, and with a black car/truck...just leaving it in the sun it gets WAY hotter. too hot some times and the vinyl just melts as you pull it off. haha. OIF Vet
Gaine, A blow dryer is the way to go. After that if you have any residue the 3M stuff works great and so does Goof Off. Take some before and after pictures if you get a chance. Where abouts in Hawaii are you? I was stationed at Schofield Barracks for 3 years. I loved it there.
