Clay remove wax?

Does claying remove wax? I'm wondering because I was thinking of doing my car over a couple of nights. It probably won't matter since she'll most likely stay in the garage the whole time, but there's always a chance of having to go out and the forecast has a chance of rain for the next couple of days.

Yes. It removes anything on the paint.

Yep. If you're going to clay, wash it good first. I like to use Dawn to remove most of the wax, then the clay picks up the residue. And then it's all the good fun of detailing.

Yeah, this question was a total brain fart on my part. I was running out to the gym when I posted it and totally wasn't thinking of the correct steps to take. I was just thinking of what would be doable with the time available tonight.
