What would be a fix for this??

Hey all,

 

Been looking at this 'vette and have considered it, but owner is reluctant to write back (probably a scam). However, what would cause something like the enclosed pic? Is this cracked fiberglass or just paint damage? I know it's only a picture and I have sketchy details, but just wondering if anyone has seen this before. Thanks.

If you can feel them with your nail you might be able to lessen them with wet sanding, but you won't be able to completely remove them. Vette members correct me if I am wrong.

To me it looks like something impacted right there and may have cracked the paint. I don't know if this is a fiberglass panel though.

Yes it's fiberglass, and yes, it's been cracked. I'd pass on it. But to give him credit, he's not trying to hide it. Just my .02c.

Nope, you can't lessen that damage without more paint. Fiberglass is a different animal.

Thanks guys. I didn't know if it was a fiberglass panel. I needed some vette owners to let me know. No he wasn't hiding it, but wouldn't clarify. I'm passing.
