srod54321
ok ok - i admit it, it was my stupid mistake -- but I accidentally used FMP on my tires today. Just curious, has adams ever considered changing the color of VRT so that it's not the same as FMP?
whiterp199
Well how did the tires look?
crowvet
The machine polish isn't nearly as white as the VRT. Doesn't smell as good either. But howed those tires turn out?

The Ryan
VRT should be more lotion looking than FMP (toothpaste). VRT is also a lot easier to get out of the bottle than the FMP... I don't think I would want to use Blue VRT on my dash though
srod54321
Well how did the tires look? Weren't too bad actually - I was worried about hazing (like when you get wax on black plastic) but that didn't really happen. Once I realized what I did, I used some APC to get the FMP off and then applied the right stuff. Lesson learned i guess. lol

GerryC
I think a product such as vrt needs to remain a neutral color. What some people do to prevent mixups is use a sharpie and write VRT, FMP, etc on the upward-facing part of the bottle plastic, so if the bottles are in your detail bag you can see which is which before removing it from the bag. The Ryan
Adding color to the VRT may limit its usage as well. If you colored the VRT you wouldnt be able to use it on lighter colored surfaces, dashes, door panels, ect.
GTO Guy
i accidently used SHR instead of leather conditioner once. it was on preferated leather at that. was a PITA to clean up and now i keep them very far apart!
ExpressThis13
I agree with VRT remaining a neutral color. Would you feel comfortable using vrt if it was a different color say blue or red or even black on say a tan dash or the trim on your vehicle. I dont know about you but it would freak me out honestly. Yea no dye in the VRT is good. As for the color mixup I sprayed the wheels/tires down with the old formula of glass cleaner which was a close shade of green to APC. The new color is much better.
