Mr.Ls1
Okay everybody, I leave Saturday for New York. I will be there until the 18th. My family and I have never been so we decided to visit. My question to yall is, Besides the obvious things (Liberty, Times Square, all that) is there anything yall would suggest seeing? Im a food lover too so include places to eat. TR6speed
The wife and I made a trip there about 6 years ago and had a great time. We stated at 57th and 7th just off Broadway. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p> A trip to Ground Zero is a must. Take in a play on Broadway, stroll 5th Ave. and stop in the famous stores on the Ave. The Empire State building is a great place to look out over the city. Have lunch in Trump Tower.<o:p></o:p>
Doug123
And for food, NYC is a great place - anything you want is there. Ask the concierge at the hotel where you stay about restaurants...
Marylander
Ellis Island is pretty humbling. Well worth a trip out there if you have the time.

Memphis Senior
Take a walk down Mulberry Street in Little Italy.. Great eats all over... I was borne on Mulberry St. Of course that was a few years back. It's been 30 years since I left and I haven't been back. There are a TON of museums in NYC. The New York City public libraries are among the best in the country. One of my favorites is the NYC library for the performing arts at the Lincoln Center Plaza.
70'sChevyGirl
I have never been to NY either. It sounds like a fun vacation. Take lots of pics. Maybe you can ride the Cash Cab.
Nordgrey
If you are into things that move fast don't miss the aircraft museum on the USS Intrepid. Only ever did one port visit to NYC and it quickly moved to the top of the list for favourite foreign ports. Times Square on Halloween was a sight to behold.......LOL
